@Th0m75 I don't mind France per say, but poking fun at each other's stereotypical qualities is a tradition, but that aside, we're still #5, you're still #8. Oh, and the only 5th generation fighter jet is still the f-22, costing $60m more than the Rafale. Granted the Famas is great, a truly fantastic bullpup rifle, but as is the SA80, the only thing separating the two is the Famas' longer service record. And the military budget of both France and the UK is $60b.

@Th0m75 SA80 HAD a bad repuatation, it was re-modelled years ago by H&K, if it was truly that bad, would it be our weapon of choice, especially when we have easy accessibility to the FAMAS or the M4. @Th0m75 It is widely regarded that the U.K has the BEST trained infantry, the Royal Marines basic training is 32 weeks, the longest of any regular infantry unit IN THE WORLD. The FNC (French Naval Commandos) train for 20 weeks, and they're apparently "special forces". It really makes a statement when our regular infantry are better trained than your special forces, and don 't even get me started on the SAS or SBS. France are a great ally, but the UK are a greater ally.
