I've always rescued dals, never had a pup. Well, bringing my first dal pup home beginning of July. I'm so worried about doing the right thing and only dream I can train my dal as well as you have trained yours. Do you have any hints/tips? What a great job you did and aren't dals just the best?
Cute but you should do it without repeating commands many times. You should correct her if she does not do it after just 1 time. Dals are pretty cool dogs, I see a lot of deaf ones though
get him to lie down, hld the treat near his nose and move it in a circle away from him. If he tries to follow it with his head he should end up rolling over, when this happens click the clicker/praise him then try again. Say "rollover" while you do it so he knows what the command means. Eventually he should be able to do it without the treat, just the hand signal or command. Worked for my dog.
I wish my Dal was like this, She's 8 months and still so hyper, she is quite small for her age

My dalmatian is almost a year old,
