There is nothing more embarrassing than a group of people walking upto you and shaking and clamoring, you know and praising you like you are some kinda fucking god or something, it's embarrassing. 5:04 *Kurt was not only intelligent but also wise, he had a soul like that of a child.*
It might be nice to eventually start playing acoustic guitar and be thought of as an singer and a song writer rather than a grunge rocker, you know coz then I may be able to take advantage of that when I am older and sit down on a chair and play acoustic guitar like Johnny cash or something, you know and it won't be a big joke 7:34 *thats so sweet of kurt, so humble and a true talent with a great passion for Pure Music*
I understand, in a way, his final fuck you to the world. He wasn't ever really stable emotionally. I read Heavier Than Heaven. He was intelligent to a certain point, but within him coexisted faults and self-destruction. I mean, everyone feels like that sometimes. Getting famous, and getting married, and having a baby all at once is pressure on anyone. But being addicted to a drug that can kill you, and make you feel like you have the flu multiplied by 100 is a different story. He wanted to die.
Musicians who gave it up because they got bored with writing songs are everywhere in this world. They lost the interest, or couldn't find a band, or whatever. Here's a guy who hits the jackpot, and still becomes bored with it. He wrote the most affecting music of his generation, but then he felt the obligation to play, instead of for fun, and he just didn't want to. And everyone judged him like he had better enjoy it, because he attained a status that every career musician wants.
Eight months later he was gone. This is a guy who had it all, and it didn't matter because he was mentally ill. Drugs made him sick all the time. They made him depressed, and he was insane by the end. He went crazy in his room. Doing heroin, nodding out, waking up the next day to find out he's even more rich and famous than the day before. He didn't even care anymore about the band. That's the ironic thing. He wrote some of the most affecting music of his generation, and became bored with it.
get the one where he's interviewed by the girl in late 93 in Seattle. He seemed happy in that one, albeit near his suicide. I've only seen parts. Do you have it?
@kurtcobainluver27 (cont.) yep, it was in 1994 because In Utero was realeased in September of 1993 and you can cleary tell that Kurt is talking about it in a past tense as in it's already been released
o_O I dunno what it is...but I think Kurt seems different in this interview than in the other ones he's done. In a good way. Like...really sweet and happy.
Its sad hearing him talking about how he wanted to be when he was older, with an acoustic guitar and similar to Johnny Cash, but also kinda happy at the same time :P
The video of Rape Me is not from "Le Zenith" ( He got his Jagstang for this song ) , if think it comes from the show at Cascais i know that a French TV taped the show .
little did they know that 8 months later Kurt would die.
