  • It is discrimination. If you're fired or lose benefits at work for being pregnant, it's discrimination. Schucks fired me last October for being pregnant and I was only 2 and 1/2 months pregnant. the biggest regret I have about the incedent is that I didn't sue the company. If you or someone you know is being harassed at work or fired for being pregnant, do something about it. I wish I did.

  • @seagurl ok, i agree that it can be discriminating for 2 and 1/2 months, but in most cases pregnant women dont work that well when they are in 6+ months. so I think the company then could fire you/pay you less for not doing that good of a job.

In that case, its not discrimination anymore, it is just firing the weak.

and yes, the same thing with pernamently ill people, sorry for them, but its not to blame on the company for firing you for not doing a good job

  • discrimination..haha?

  • Oh please, so you're saying that I should continue to pay a woman to do nothing AND pay extra for someone to pick up her slack? You realize that the consumer ends up paying for that, right?

  • This is one of the most biased reporting I've seen. I guess Mr Stossel has no social conscious towards others
