I was on that ride once. it was fun at first, then it got a little old. then at the final place i was happy, i was about to get off. but then... the ride got stuck -_- for half an hour so i had to listen to "its a small world after all" no kidding i couldnt go anywhere :\
I had to have part of my brain removed so I didnt keep hearing this song over and over when there was silence. I went on it once 2003, i ruined my life -_-
I went to disney world last week and my sister was pregnant so we had to have a wheel chair and we went into the wheel chair line and it was supposed to be shorter and instead we sat in the Line for an hour or so and standby was shorter and then we Leo getting stuck and I was so annoyed after
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but it's odd to go to any of the Disney parks and bash one of the rides that came directly from Walt (yes, I know it's not the original from the World's Fair that was rebuilt at Disneyland)- especially one that that did so much for Walt's success and legacy. And had it not been for the popularity of this ride, Pirates of the Caribbean would have been a walk through vs. a boat ride.
You know I actually really liked this ride as a kid, but when my friend and I went back last year we were both board to tears and eyeing the emergency exits.
dont get me wrong or nothing i really enjoyed disney world in florida, i had an excellent time... however how they done this ride i think it could of been done and portrayed in a different manner... both my kids were bored out of there brains and it dragged on with the same anoying song all the way through.... if the ride was shorter and told a story as such rather than just repeating that song the ride i wouldnt deem it as boring... disney could of just designed it better.... i do agree with u.
@cblanning1 maybe all of you people who know nothing about walt disney, the ride was made for the world's fair and it's a classic and one of the few remaining original rides left at the theme park.
@cblanning1 In defense of the ride, it was built in 1971, and was a pale comparison to Disneyland's (and the World's Fair) classic ride. Not much has changed since then, other than the outside. It's a chill out ride, more or less and the idea of it like others have said, is that we're different, geographically, but we're not at all different in our play. We're all part of one world together. Yeah, it's not thrilling, but it's heartfelt.
I guess having an opinion is fine, but it's a small world is one of the most beloved and popular theme park rides in the world.
It is also generally considered a masterpiece in set design and color play, not to mention it features a great message that you might be able to understand if you could take your head out of your ass for 5 seconds.
