  • Sure, the Democrats are screwing up on all fronts, but on the other hand, the Republicans are playing "Russian Roulette" with the American people's livelihood.

Republican officials in DC don't really care about the economy; they only care about beating the Democrats at all cost. I say this because if they did then they would work day and night to solve the current unemployment problem instead of blocking every measure to get people working.

  • Dems don't care about the American people, they will say anything to get your vote and keep their power.

  • Yes, Debbie, that's right. Republicans just want to support the big business that don't care about us middle and lower middle class Americans!! It's outrageous how out of touch republicaans are!!!

  • @FoxZo83

Very out of touch. I can't see voting republican unless you are a millionaire but unfortunately there are people with very low pay that drink the poisonous GOP kool-aid.

  • Republicans don't care about the middle class, nor for the suffering. If they were really concerned about the deficit, then they would not want to extend the over $600 billion worth of tax cuts for the rich. Instead, they have attacked the emergency fund for the unemployed, which would cost $30 billion, for increasing the deficit! If you are a middle class person, or a hard working American who makes a descent salary, or lower, then why would you vote against your self-interest?

  • @DixonRants For you, I would recommend reading "Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell. Taxes don't always do what they're supposed to. And yes, your right. BOTH parties have done a number on government run retirement plans, which you can add to the might list of reasons as to why government reliance is not always a good thing.

  • @Jaimetud Thanks for the recommendation! I am currently reading a book about Keynesian economics, called "The Keynes Solution". But why aren't government run retirement plans not a good thing?
