who fucking cares if some of the shit wasn't fully true I mean fuck maybe it made it just that much more fucking interesting and even tho 75% was completely true and the other 25% made up, it was still a fanfuckingtastic book!!!!!!!!!!!!! Personally I think he is a very strong minded person.
Maybe the reason he doesn't believe in inspiration is because he can just buy it from impressionable young writers with what looks like about the most heinous contract in existence whatever.scalzi.com/2010/11/13/the-man-in-the-frey-flannel-suit/ Hmm, I'm starting to see a theme develop here, maybe I'll write a story about a con man who poses as a writer.
@funwjoshnjenn you are retarded. He wrote one of the best and most inspirational books of all time. That book helped me get through one of the darkest times of my life while I was in rehab for drug addiction. Even if the book was 100% false it still helped me more than anyone will ever know.
@bestsnowboarderuknow i agree, as long as it serves a good purpose, who cares if it was true? though some of the times i wish people like you were dead
@funwjoshnjenn hey relax, it's just that I have met James Frey and he is not a con nor does he think people who read his books are stupid. I love your internet balls though, very big. I apologize for calling you retarded.
@bestsnowboarderuknow I apologize too, I tend to be jealous that junkies get more sympathy for their mistakes and wrongs. as for what he believes about his readers, they're essentially my own opinion, I just project that on him.
I believe in inspiration. If I didn't, I wouldn't possess the motive and intent to write. James Frey (along with David Benioff and Bret Easton Ellis amongst others) is one of the contributing reasons why I write.
james, you are a real person. The truth is the best. You wanted to make the book better and that's just the truth, over all. It doesn't matter one bit if you even grew up in the heart of "sober". You gave literature... you gave.
