@rh384 I will agree that Matthew Rillys writings not the best, and that his situations are incredibly unrealistic, and he 'dues ex machinas' like 20 times in the story, but the basic point is that its Fun. To. Read.
And thats why it sells!
Who gives a shit if its completely unrealistic, he's selling a fiction novel, not a historical combat guide.

c'mon. sure, his books are totally far-fetched and would never eventuate in reality but they read just like a good action movie and Scarecrow is one bad motherfucker.
Just curious, what books/authors do you read??

I prefer Chris Ryan and i liked Conn Iggulden's books, i read quite a lot, those are the two authors who jump to my mind.

@rh384 this may of been a looong time ago but don't you think that the readers of this comment might get offended? i mean i like mathew's books, and i read alot..... also most people don't like LOWEST COMON DENOMINATOER OF READERS....so just keep in mind to think about what you write.

what are you talking about? im ice station americans are part of the badguys same thing in area 7. have you even read 7 deadly wonders in which the americans are the main bad guys? you have clearly never read one of his books or you would know that he is not biased for or against any one country.

Well he does balance it a little but he's admitted that he is pro-American.
And yes i've read them all except for temple which i dont intend to read.
In ice station the SAS and the French are the bad guys i believe. The Americans have a token role as the baddies.

Dude, read temple its seriously as good as Ice Station, you will be missing out if you dont.
Take my advice, its awesome.
In Ice Station, yes the French and British SAS are the baddies, but the american baddies come in the form of the ICG, a government agency basically, but america is also good (i.e shane scofileds marines)

umm ya in ice station although the french and sas were the main baddies, i felt that the baddies who had the biggest impact on me as a reader and the marines were the icg.thats just me tho.

Seven Deadly Wonders is what it is called in America because for some reason they changed the name. It's Seven Ancient Wonders everywhere else.

All his books are great, hes an excellent writer, i had the pleasure of meeting him during a book signing, that was my first and prob my last book signing i'll ever go 2, LMAO, i only went just to see who he was and what not :D
