  • Golly jeepers. Between maps of rising water and this, my town looks great.

  • Sweet Ottawa will be closer to the equator. No more winter !!

  • uk woo hoo

  • Im fine with this

where I live will become a tropical climate : )

  • Sweet, tropical beaches of Lake Michigan

  • Hell yea Madison will finally get warmer

  • Would the great lakes region dry up?

  • 40 degree shift? maybe so, but there isn't a darn thing we can do about this, now is there!

  • damn it my city is right on the equator! it's already hot enough ffs.

  • So this is why I'm feeling so cold which didn't used to be.

  • This can be deceiving because we still have the shifting of tectonic plates, floods and volcanic eruptions ... At best, we expect the worst and hope for the best!

  • Wow Colorado is smack on the equator. TEBOW!!

  • You should rephrase your tittle to:

2012: Earth's Equator after 40 degree Axis Shift

  • @Zecamala1234 Good idea!

  • Now most of the ice on Antarctica will melt and we can finally see what lost civilization(s) were there

  • Just hope there are still people about to see it...

  • equator yay

  • The U.S. and Canada got a great deal! Mild winters, year-round sunshine. I'm looking forward to this shit!

  • Lookin forward to the mediterrainian climate. =P Sure beats the cold winters. xD

  • MUSIC IS GREAT!!!!!

  • Alaska really got fucked on that deal!

  • @KBS7771 Alaska? Seriously? Look at Asia...

  • Yay! My Home State will be smack dab right on the new equator. Good bye to shoveling snow and hello tropical paradise. *gets out the shorts, sun tan lotion, and flip flops.

  • @tamiasthechipmunk that if you survive the earthquCKES AND ALL THE CHIT is gona happen lol

  • yeah the chinese gonna have to move to antarctica or something

  • Finally wisconsin will be warmer in January

  • @bradmscproductions Yep, too bad thou everyone on the earth will be dead thou.

  • Sweet. Hot year round where I live if this happens

  • the philippines will now have to drill thru ice!

  • Cleveland detroit and Chicago will be hot year round, yay

  • According to the news, Indonesia's earthquake in 2004, shifted earth's pole approximately 10 cm. New Zealand's 2009, 25cm. Chile earthquake in 2011, 8cm. Japan in 2011, 25cm. Dead birds and sea creatures all over the world. The North magnetic pole changes in 25 miles per year and now changes in 40 miles per year. Snowing in the desert and northern countries shift to extreme weather changes of springtime in winter or heavy cold. Extreme winters in the USA.Google it, or search in YT.

  • Does that mean that the saudis will have to drill throuh ice at some point?

  • Great now my toilet will flush in the other direction!

  • Great! Quebec turn tropical!

  • Wooohoo!!! now to head to the beach!!!!! *changes into swimsuit*

  • Thailand shift to north pole!!!!

  • Wow...so like China, India and the rest of Asia pretty much become unliveable.

  • @simian455 What, as opposed to now? Soooo liveable at the moment.

Mind you, over 3.2 billion people choose to live there - so I guess it can't be all bad.

  • Well damn, Norway is just going to get even more colder.

  • nice vancity looks hot and sunny for the next hundred years

  • Yay! Tropical Wisconsin!

  • so does this explain all the strange noises all over the world???

  • looks like LA gets the biscuit!

  • WTF why switzerland is still cold?

  • nova scotia would be right on the equator

  • seems like the ecuador is on LA CA US

  • Where I live it's not gonna be called Winterpeg anymore :D

  • I can't wait. Finally, I can grow bananas and pineapples.

  • im in ottawa canada, and if it shifts that much then your all welcome to my beautiful tropical paradise ;)

  • @mejw1 Unless you have the complexion with the protection. Move UV radiation. Sorry sun screen creams won't help.

  • all I can say is "and you think Siberia is cold now"

  • Awesome, year round constant temps for me! But my toilet will flush with an opposite rotation to now.... that will be cool :)

  • este si la tierra cambia asi van a salir mas islas y continentes

  • Still cold in sweden -.- :I

  • who continues to live in warm or mild whether-

    US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Africa.

    so who becomes frozen wasteland?

China, India, South America, Russia (not much change then..), middle east

man the BRICs just dont get a chance, they were so close, bad for them hey.

its okay they do what they always do and beg smaller, more developed countires for aid.

  • I'm going to live on the equator? Yay. Enjoy your frozen hell China!

  • Lol this kinda polar shift can not happen, learn some science

  • cool i'll be able to grow a banana tree in my garden.

  • time to plant the pineapples!!!!

  • I live in Rio and would like to change my bathing suits for ski boots.

  • Michigan will be right on the equator. Sweet.

  • im gonna get palm trees in my yard!

  • well if this really happens im going to be an ice cube i live in russia

  • Wow. Nova Scotia and Southern California will be on the equator.

  • damn new york will be the new california. *puts on sunglasses*

  • no more snow days for me

  • so there will be polar bears and seals in Taiwan....ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

  • Hell yeah bring me sunglasses !!!!

  • YAAAAYY !!! SRI lanka's getting snowwww !! :))

  • Oh, c'mon Africa, you don't want to get out of the Equator? xD lol

  • Guess my state will stay the same cause I live in florida :P

  • So the poles will be at Argentina and Siberia. This will only happen if the mass inside of the earth changes. No one can calculate this.

  • A shift of that nature would cause massive flooding from the resultant Tsunami's the sea levels would rise dramatically because of the melting polar ice caps and the magnetosphere changes all the time... and has been known to invert.

  • IT'S RIGHT OVER MY HOME 0.0 IN QUEBEC.

  • OH YESS MAN!! I live in equator now! is finish to shoveling 6 feet of snow all winter!

  • wont need my snowblower on the equator

  • yes! philippines will receive snow since it'll be placed in present russia area.. :) cool but I hope this not gonna happen. Look at Antartica! looks like more exposed to the fierce heat of the sun. many islands would sink...

  • So Italy and England would be in the same climactic area? Sweet! LESS RAINING FOR THE U.K!!!!

  • Lets hope this never happens. It would be an extinction level event

  • finally,snow will fall in Malaysia...hahaha

  • I like the 20 degree one better

  • WINNIPEG IS GON BE TROPICAL... HAHA I WISH!!

  • day by day, we are finding that the "laws" we have used, in science, are changing, growing and evolving as our minds do, and as for the lies your "teachers" keep feeding you from the history books, please, go bury YOUR head in the sand.....away from ME!!!!! hahahahahahaah

  • Wow I live in Chicago, one hell of a beach now!!

  • @mscynergie I live in denver, right on equator too

  • @mscynergie ohio too!!

  • Finally some good weather in Ireland :)

  • @DJCalypsio I am from Finland. Dislike

  • @8888alterbridge ist too hot in summers these days further to north would be nice

  • @DJCalypsio up the irish :-)

  • Looks like the equator will go through my yard

  • yes ohio gonna be hot all year round looks like im gonna have a christmas pool party

  • soo..Russian turns into a frozen wasteland (so pretty much the same as now) and....thats about it..i cant really see a downside to this map...cept i live in Georgia and its already to damn hot

  • @gimplekin our planet spinning is indeed a great force but when met with a greater force eg: Gravitational pull of the universe, yes it could change the axis of earth.Earth spings because of magnetic fields if these magnetic fields are changed it will have a serious effect of earths spin.Go play with some magnets then come back to this video and tells me if the magnetic fields changed at anytime. Dont forget to switch the poles around so they attract and push from each other.Grade one stuff .

  • @MegaMadeinCanada Earth does not spin because of magnetic fields. The current spin of the Earth is conserved angular momentum from its initial formation, and it will continue to spin in this way. Since the Earth's center of mass is at the center of the Earth, no matter how strong the gravitational pull of the universe is, it will not change the rotation of Earth about its own axis. The source of Earth's magnetic field is electric currents within the molten core, sustained by convection current.

  • daaam toronto gonna be summer all year long :D

  • holyshiiit sri lanka is in the north poles O_O looks like its time for ice-cricket!!

  • Looks like the U.K has just stayed the same -.-

  • wow Melbourne will be a steam boat well better head to Darwin it will be cold for a change.....

  • shit i bought a 3 years ski season pass. they shouldnt have sold that shit. thats why it was so cheap. vancouver is gonna be super hot super fast

  • ʇɟıɥs sǝןod ǝɥʇ uǝɥʍ sıɥʇ pɐǝɹ ןןıʇs uɐɔ noʎ os sıɥʇ ǝʇoɹʍ ı

  • hmm. Scottsdale would be the same. :l

  • Lake Michigan will be one hell of a beach spot now!

  • yaaay ny is gonna be warm for a change lol

  • Any1 else notice spain is in, more or less, the same area of the equator before it this?

  • Year round summer in Michigan is what im talking about!

  • This was illuminating..

  • No matter how it goes Russia is STILL Super-F*cked. Freeze communism in it's tracks!

  • still good for Mexico, Argentinians and Chilenians get out of the ice and darkness

  • No more snow in Chicago? woot!

  • no more snow in ohio? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *In Africa*

In later news, its still hot as balls here

  • mmm I feld like is true that it will happen to us , like the movie 2012

  • Is there even proof that the poles will switch in an instant? It may switch overtime, but there would've been discovery of these sudden changes in the ground sediments by now.

  • @Godlystriker I think the distinct lines in the sediment's polarity are proof...

  • but notice the Antarctic. Now, unlike recent allegations, it really will melt.

  • yay! the usa is going to be tropical yay! beach year round then lol

  • @bigkev2084 and hopefully not under water smh

  • Welcome to the tropics in the east coast of north americas.. !! Hahaha ppps

  • damn.. new york is gonna get palm trees? i wanna put one in front yard!

  • @Coldheart19 That's smack dab in the equator. Have you seen what the people look like in the centre of the equator. Nubia/Kenya South India. Unless you have strong dark melanin you won't survive.

  • @ZUNECARDSTV yaaaaahh me

  • @Coldheart19 New York will be under water, about 20-50 feet to be exact. since the Sun's rays will be focused more on the Ice Capes and thus Melt Them...!

  • @METALMAN4Wii "about 20-50 feet to be exact?" that's exact? Why are the words "sun" "ice" "capes" "melt" and "them" capitalized? Are they people? Or countries? The titles of books? And what IS an "ice cape" exactly? You should learn to spell your way out of a wet paper bag before you start pretending you understand anything about science. It would be more believable.

  • @Coldheart19 Yes, but before that New York is getting massive tidal waves, so better learn to swim first.

  • because the earth would shift like that in any time frame... our entire magnetic field could vanish and our axis would not change, do you have any concept of the shear volume of material that makes up our planet? you don't just move it or make it spin a different way. hell the very nature of the spin makes it difficult to change its axis. go try to change the axis of a spinning tire and you'll see what i'm talking about. it will resist you. better yet, go hide your head in the sand, away from me

  • @gimplekin: Actually the north pole is shifting 40 miles a year... it's been proven and broadcats on the news, so yeah it could shift,.. especially if a bigger planet which has more magnetic pull is effecting its axis... it is possible,.. nothing is impossible

  • @gimplekin Yes lol. It's called rotational momentum and it is actually proven fact. but hey... maybe it won't actually take an enormously ridiculous amount of energy to change the earths poles by 40 degrees.

  • @gimplekin You cheer me up (:

Now I will stop looking at these videos, okay maybe one more.

  • @gimplekin There is a point @ winter and summer solstice when the Planet is volnerable..

  • @gimplekin the axis can move thanks to the Chille quake our axis moved by 3inches and now the day is a microsecond shorter there isnt 24 hours in a day anymore

  • @gimplekin

my science teacher told/showed us the exact same thing. any thought of a pole shift happening just like that is completely wrong

  • @MISTERDOCPEPPER ah your teacher is wronge... My teacher told me volcanos were all exstincted and guess what? In less than 7 years I seen a sleep giant wake up,,,Back in 1950's teachers said we were all gona have flying cars,, i am a pilot but to have abunch of height fready cats in a car off the ground,, its called an oil change,, teachers are only good if they are teaching you to fly,, they dont lie or we crash! done*

  • @gimplekin Not so fast there...do a quick search on the earthquake of Chile and Japan and you will find that the earth did shift on it's axis both times, the rotation of the earth sped up and the day shortened - as you noted. Weither we believe the maps of antartica that could only have been drawn with it was ice free, as saltillite imagary and mapping occured only after the maps were found, is a different matter but would place it above the current location. Be well, be Blessed

  • @gimplekin I see what you're saying, but look at how a top will wobble. A tire is fixed to a rod. I can see ROLLING during spinning despite mass. Mass is relative.

  • @gimplekin Understand that our planet is not a spinning tire, but more like a spinning top. The magnetic poles are located at approx distances from one another and are moving. The earth "tilting" or changing its axis is potentially possible. Is it going to happen? No one knows for certainty. If there is a pole shift and the Earth switches its spin, it will probably be gradual. If the earth's pole decide to flip, we could see a slow-down of our spin, a stop, and the spin in the other direction.

  • @gimplekin its not the axis that will change its the mantle of the earth, the outer shell, the core would still be spinning in the same direction as it were before. the poles have already shifted slighty, something significant enough could cause sudden shifts, such as the sun. i do agree with the mass of the earth though and on that note if it did happen it wouldnt be pretty.

  • @gimplekin hey doofus. the earth is a spherical magnet. the sun is a GINORMOUS spherical magnet.. go get two sphere magnets. one bigger than the other, put them close enough that they affect eachother but dont pull together... OKAY... now shift one magnet, spin it... HOLY CRAP, the other one spins to realign the north and south pole. IT JUST SHIFTS INSTANTLY.. so think again before you say the earth wont just shift. if the sun decided to shift poles, the earth has no choice

  • @gimplekin The Earth is like a tire? Who taught you that?

  • uh oh,im gonna have to make some modifications to my snowmobile ,damn its gonna suck north of toronto ! well at least i can start growing sativa in the back yard ,yaa man

  • poor pinguin & grizzly bear

  • UTAH ON THE EQUATOR!!!

  • I remember hearing when I was a kid that Florida would end up with Maine weather and Maine have Florida weather. Its kinda turning out that way, slowly. Florida is getting colder in winter months and Maine warmer.

  • lmao! nova scotia is RIGHT on the equator

  • This is horrific how?

  • Now I can finally have a tropical paradise here in Michigan. Going to start planting the palm trees

  • if the earth axis moves a lil we will all die

  • come on have some fun buy an surf board and ride it out. I have seen many after maps and you know how is to say safe zones now will be. My point is you can plan all you what but if you don't know 100% then what?

  • I had a dream of a 40 degree poleshift, and what I was shown was that California slides down to the equator. This confirms that. thank you. I posted a lame video I made the day after the dream, while I was in Kona Hawaii. You can go take a look at it if you got a few minutes. I don't believe in the pole shift, and so the dream was surprising to me. Love!

  • If this happens the winds & the flooding will destroy nearly 90% of EVERYONE on Earth, if not more. Hopefully the ones who 'kind of wish this would happen' will be amongst the victims.

  • Not sure about the 400mph winds that'll come with the shift, that kinda sucks!

  • yes equator in ct PALM TREESE lets go when does this happen i cant wait

  • Cool, now when I flush the toilet after the switch, my water will go counterclockwise :)

  • I'm not sure I want to live ON the equator.. but I'm not going to miss winter either.

  • Earths poles swap, it is a known scientific fact.

  • All those poor penguins.

  • awesome! NY will be a tropical paradise!

  • Estonia still in same distance from equator....meh.

  • Dennis Quaid will have to make another bad movie!

  • yay! im in ohio! my toilet will flush a diffrent direction!

  • Yay no more snow in Michigan!!!!!:)

  • @gunnerboy207 ah man! I live in Michigan and I like snow!

  • Quebec in the equator

    I will love it :P

  • I will say that if this was true, it would be cool to see whats under all that antarctic ice.

Also, the current polar caps would melt, but new ones would form, so flooding wouldnt be a permanent thing. In fact, I'm sure some idiot would start a trend saying that the worlds water is drying up.

  • there is no true equator.... it always changes. maybe the world clenses itself when when one pole or the other is close to facing the sun making half the world uninhabital. what your saying is canada on the equator : ( um we like our hockey. someone turn on the anchored to the ground jet engines and prop us back up right

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO GEORGIA (US) WILL BE HOTTTTT

  • bye antarctica!

  • snow will start in singapore!

  • my house is in singapore, near the equator

so maybe the weather will become cold for a change!

better buy some winter clothes now!

  • yay if its true and i servive id be were the caribein was

  • NO MORE SNOW IN COLORADO!! :D

  • Yes no more snow in Ohio!

  • well Australia and Africa will still both be hot as hell xp

  • Sheeeeiiiit... looks like Melbourne will be right on the equator too... gonna be HOT!

  • oh yeah i'll be frozen in the north romania=)))

  • Kenya in East Africa Will still be right on the equator. The home of the 1st man.

  • all i got to say is that much of the land we see will be underwater as much new land will be exposed to bad this map does not equate for that

  • WISCONSIN WINS AGAIN!

  • This is nice graphics and all. But where do you get 40 degrees from? If you look at the outer planets (Neptune,Uranus,Saturn,Pluto), all have flipped on their side. Neptune being the last almost a decade ago. Something is out there (larger than planet size) that has effected those planets gravitations. Jupiters has lost several rings in the last few years. Mars, Earth, Venus are all out of place. I can imagine the equator going Vertical (what is current N & S) down the pacific if Earth flipped.

  • @LSonics its not the planets that have flipped its our earth that had a polar shift

  • @WeCannabis The wobble that we are in doesn't equal to a pole shift! When I talk about the outer planets turning over to their sides, they are showing a flipped face to our sun. I believe there is a big change coming (a lot of plate movements as evident to Indonesia sinking and when our Earth flips to the side) but I don't believe the 40 degree movement is pernament its just a massive wobble that we are in because somthing much bigger than our planet is pulling on Earth's magnetic poles.

  • problem? looks fine to me jest bit more colder for me
