  • @JunkyardDawwg If it is any easier for you.......know that for many of us we have felt that same feeling. It's what makes this song so real to us all. No matter what your age. My heart still aches for a girl some 40 years ago.

  • I love Roy voice it is like honey on a warm butter biscuit. It is something you never stop loving and so it is his voice for me. I am 60+ and I still love to listen to Him. I just don't find that in today 's music

  • I just love the bass in this and the way it rises to a crescendo - musicians like this are rare. We are privileged to be able to hear music of this calibre. Thank you so much for posting so we can all enjoy it.

  • Truly amazing.

Any oldies like this should be on more modern day movies.

  • no sense in crying over a woman. it only delays the inevitable . move along little doogie. move on.

  • When ROCK still had some ROLL!

  • Great!!!

  • Was this song turn into the spanish song from Mulholland Drive?

  • @njaouhari76

    Yes.

  • what a voice, I always think of my brother Carl when I see Roys hair and glasses.

  • @MrDara31 Not only that, but no less an incandescent talent like Elvis said that Roy had the world's best voice.

  • Every old song I go to someone is complaining about the shitty music nowadays. There must be something to it.

  • @TylerMontana I wouldn't know. I don't listen to anything that was released after 1974. I saw Roy on 3 separate tours and he was awesome. Hard to believe this song came out half a century ago.

  • One of the all-time bests

  • All music is good.Only the great ones make exceptional music

  • When he says, "but when I saw you last night" Thats when it hits me

  • @MrDara31 yes, music today is nothing like it use to be, although there are some notable exceptions such as reba and martina mcbride. but i love roy, rickie nelso, connie francis, petula clark and all the other greats of olde.

  • I've always loved Roy because every song, every emotion spoke to me. I do like Del Shannons version of "Cryin'" done after Roy's death. Check out the video here on YT.

  • i love the ending in this song...sooo sad a true artist, a true legend

  • Roy Orbinson, a legend, an artist that sealed the 60's with his unique voice! My twin brother loved him and used to sing along over the radio,God I miss them both...

  • perfect

unlike todays music " garbage "

  • Great artist. Had the privilege of seeing him perform. His works only get better as time goes by. Roy may have left us long ago, yet his music, his sound, his energy remains.

  • damn the hair on my neck just stood up...what the

  • Now we can say RIP Barbara Orbison as she just passed away this month. She kept Roy alive.

  • @taypar11 on the aniversary of Roys death, according to what I read....RIP Barbara

  • This song makes me miss being in love even more...

  • @Singsonggirl

Me too! Lets get it on? ;)

  • the heart break song I listened to this and cried over divorce

  • The only artist ever to hit 5 octaves without going falsetto. Truly a legend.

  • @MrDara31 Go listen to a band named Girls and tell me all of the music we have today is shit. Go on give them a good listen, also I could name a lot more bands too if you'd like to be open minded but you probably won't.

  • Roy is really the greatest singer of his time and ours....What a range.

  • 6/12/1988-6/12/2011 R.I.P. Roy, miss you.-

  • cwying....

  • sabah sabah bu sarkiyi kendinden gecerek dinlemek gibisi yok.. hele ki kardesin sen uyurken pcden acip, senin yavas yavas bu sarkiyla uyanmana neden oluyorsa... kardesimi seviyorum!

  • @Rockit8 He was the best there was next to Elvis!!!

  • @Rockit8 That's a long time to listen to one song :-) Why don't they make songs like this anymore?

  • @Rockit8 If you make a comment like that, then then Roy Orbison achieved his goals

  • plz reincarnate

  • 50/50

  • @hejmitnavnersarah GR8 movie & song. Came here after watching that movie. This song really suited that movie well.

  • Rip patrice oneil

  • Where most people have a vocal range of 1-2 octaves, Roy had double at 3-3.5. That is what gave him such command of songs like this.

  • this song gives me goosebums hes voice is amazing

  • I didn't Have any Idea that I'd Still be Hearing This Beautiful

"Sad Song" Sung by the Late "Roy Orbison"

  • WHAT A GREAT MAN!! I WAS THERE IN WHEELER AFB,HAWAII IN 77.. YOUR SONGS WERE TO THE HEART AS BLOOD ....I COULD FEEL THE PAIN AND LOVE IN YOUR WORDS!!!

  • This type of music is a lost art. Hopefully, it will come back with a new generation................... "Everything that's old is new again".

  • terry fator does justice to this song and he barley opens his mouth. Search it!! he is a singing ventriloquist :) If you love terry and how well he mimics artists thumbs this up.

  • My wife just left me, and browsing through Roy's music, he's the only person that conveys what it really feels like.

  • @Grizzlox Hey....sorry to hear that. Been there. Hope you feel better. I've been listening and/singing along with this song for 11 years. March will be twelve. Cry like a baby at least half the time.....probably more like 80% of the time. I had a fiance' that left me......only girl I've ever loved or wanted to marry. Still not over it and never will be. Good luck to you, and remember you're not alone. March 23rd of 2000 she told me over the phone, "It's just not there for me anymore, sorry."

  • One of the best if not the best singer in North America(in his time), but this guy was so shy...

    He could past over Elvis

  • He was great, his voice unmistakable. With an uncanny method of phrasing, he ranks as one of America's best ever!

  • The Caruso of Rock.

  • @Rosieisapunk1200 Love the comparison...and so true!

  • such A cool dude

  • Please people, Roy was not Blind or suffering from eye defects, he just had beady small eyes and looked better with dark shades on.

Just look at his eyes under his dark shades "something out of a scary film"

  • @cantow57 maybe not the greatest but curtenly one of them ! greetings from Holland

  • When you look back over the last 50 years of pop music and all the great singers, at the very top has to be Roy Orbison. It is an honor to have had the privilege to have heard him.

  • Roy Orbison is the Great Grandfather of Emo.

  • Gummo.

  • elvis yes elvis the king of rock and roll loved this guy's music that's really cool.

    People know better!:D

  • Awesome

  • Wonderful! The Best....

  • The best male voice ever! Miss you Roy

  • a true tear jerker

  • You can hear such anguish in this man's voice.

  • There is a quality to his voice that is unmatched in rock and roll. You have to go to opera to fine anything like it. That, plus song selection. There is the poetry of his songs which sets him apart. And unlike opera, it doesn't take two hours to get to the tearful end. His was a special gift. So happy he discovered music and left us with it.
