221 bus, just after a holiday in cornwall, going to school, burst out crying, not quite sure whether it was going back to school, or the memories of logans rock, treen, or the mousehole, but the record says it all. xxx memories. xxx
I liked this girl at my school for a long time, eventually I grew the balls to ask her out. she said no.And now she's going it with this other guy. this sing keeps me cool with it.
@JunkyardDawwg If it is any easier for you.......know that for many of us we have felt that same feeling. It's what makes this song so real to us all. No matter what your age. My heart still aches for a girl some 40 years ago.
I love Roy voice it is like honey on a warm butter biscuit. It is something you never stop loving and so it is his voice for me. I am 60+ and I still love to listen to Him. I just don't find that in today 's music
I just love the bass in this and the way it rises to a crescendo - musicians like this are rare. We are privileged to be able to hear music of this calibre. Thank you so much for posting so we can all enjoy it.
@TylerMontana I wouldn't know. I don't listen to anything that was released after 1974. I saw Roy on 3 separate tours and he was awesome. Hard to believe this song came out half a century ago.
@MrDara31 yes, music today is nothing like it use to be, although there are some notable exceptions such as reba and martina mcbride. but i love roy, rickie nelso, connie francis, petula clark and all the other greats of olde.
I've always loved Roy because every song, every emotion spoke to me. I do like Del Shannons version of "Cryin'" done after Roy's death. Check out the video here on YT.
@Ramblinrose1100 one of my all time favourites, sorry you have had a bad experience...this song probably sum's up all of my bad experiences, guess I'm too soft.
i may be 15, but i love roy orbison! the shit we have today like justin beiber, taylor swift, kati perri, etc is all just computers. It's no real talent!!
Roy Orbinson, a legend, an artist that sealed the 60's with his unique voice! My twin brother loved him and used to sing along over the radio,God I miss them both...
Great artist. Had the privilege of seeing him perform. His works only get better as time goes by. Roy may have left us long ago, yet his music, his sound, his energy remains.
@MrDara31 Go listen to a band named Girls and tell me all of the music we have today is shit. Go on give them a good listen, also I could name a lot more bands too if you'd like to be open minded but you probably won't.

"is there a word "aboundence" or did i just make that up?
WHAT A GREAT MAN!! I WAS THERE IN WHEELER AFB,HAWAII IN 77.. YOUR SONGS WERE TO THE HEART AS BLOOD ....I COULD FEEL THE PAIN AND LOVE IN YOUR WORDS!!!
terry fator does justice to this song and he barley opens his mouth. Search it!! he is a singing ventriloquist :) If you love terry and how well he mimics artists thumbs this up.
@Grizzlox Hey....sorry to hear that. Been there. Hope you feel better. I've been listening and/singing along with this song for 11 years. March will be twelve. Cry like a baby at least half the time.....probably more like 80% of the time. I had a fiance' that left me......only girl I've ever loved or wanted to marry. Still not over it and never will be. Good luck to you, and remember you're not alone. March 23rd of 2000 she told me over the phone, "It's just not there for me anymore, sorry."
Here's a place in time that society forgot. When music was cool, groovy & innocent. Lyrics were clean and people were pure and unspoiled. Unlike today how media serves our kids a bunch of FILTH where lyrics of gang-sta rap & hip-hop are full of profanity, recording artists are horny sexual beings portrayed in videos & pop stars are admired for getting in trouble with the law - WHAT kind of CRAP is that ?? Just citing how societal erosion is deteriorating the very fabric that holds us together.
When you look back over the last 50 years of pop music and all the great singers, at the very top has to be Roy Orbison. It is an honor to have had the privilege to have heard him.
There is a quality to his voice that is unmatched in rock and roll. You have to go to opera to fine anything like it. That, plus song selection. There is the poetry of his songs which sets him apart. And unlike opera, it doesn't take two hours to get to the tearful end. His was a special gift. So happy he discovered music and left us with it.
Right thats it, I am gonna slash my wrists. As a guitar playing you try to reach people, you try to make people sit up, look and listen. This guy did it.
This song is sooooo amazingly beautiful but so sad at the same time lol you can really feel the pain in it and omg what an wonderfull voice he has one of the best singing voices ive ever ever heard theres just so much emotion there his voice was amazing, i lovvvve this song lol
Learned it on guitar...but the voice, there's no way I can get that voice and do this song justice.
