Richard Harris did indeed play Dumbledore superbly, and he depicted Dumbledore just as I had imagined him in the books. Gambon could not quite fill those shoes, despite his most valiant efforts.

Richard Harris is so amazing <3 What a talented man, he simply was Dumbledore, Gambon had really really big shoes to fill, he did the job but no one can truely be Dumbledore other than Richard Harris in my heart <3 Rest in Peace

@KathrynLouise44 Harris was indeed very good as Dumbledore but he was too soft...Gambon showed the true power of Dumbledore.That's what i think :)

@leftythreedaysgrace True but Richard Harris had a different kind of power when he spoke. When he speaks, although quiet, his voice just amazes me with its calmness.

Its not the same person. The guy in the first 2 movies died and then dumbledore was in movies 3 4 5 and six and a little bit of DH part 2 cause of snapes memories
