  • LOL what is this shit

  • funny, but fail anyway :p

  • The animation is INCREDIBLY similar to that of Disney's Alice in Wonderland.

  • Was this released to the public, or was this one of the education cartoons made at the request of the government to teach the troops how to work their weapons?

  • I didnt know satan had a square mustache

  • how NOT german is that language?!. the only real german word that is sayed there is "schnitzel".

  • @IDONTGETTHEPOINT and "Sauerkraut"

  • @XxXThePauleXxX oh yeah...watched it again. tx btw

  • all i can think of is how a human body would fare against one of those monster bullets

  • so Satan is american ?

  • That rifle looks like it kicks like a bastard. And I wonder if it was any good against Panzers or Tiger tanks. I doubt it.

  • I enjoy the animation they did for Satan

  • crappy weapon. Heavy to carry and the recoil was great and many men had dislocated shoulder. Much more efficient were the bazookas and panzershreks

  • Interesting trivia: This is one of the last cartoons actually directed by Ub Iwerks (known as the creator of Mickey Mouse), animated by two of the most prominent animators of the Disney studios, Fred Moore and Ward Kimball.

  • Calm down Adolf, jeez.

  • WOW!! The first Disney video I've seen without magic in it! C:

  • @CW0513 it has magic, just don't think about it to hard...

  • lampwick from Pinnocchio.

    Or the coachman.

  • I think whoever animated that Devil also animated

  • If the Nazis got hold of this we'd have been fucked.

  • 4 people like hannah montana more

  • of course in actuality the anti tank rifles had a hard time piercing a panzers (late war models) and tigers hide and i always thought german tanks werent ramschackled piese of shit

  • Sure, many people think of mid-late war tanks and scoff at the Boys AT rifle, but it was adequate against very early tanks, and it beats not having anything. Most people forget that the vast majority of German tanks at the beginning of the war were Pz. I and Pz. II, which were susceptible to such weapons, not to mention lighter AFVs.

The armchair generals here should tell Yakov Pavlov that the AT rifle is "useless", he destroyed a dozen tanks with his PTRS-41...

  • was this inteded for kids? :O

  • @RetributionAngel Of course not. It's a training movie for fresh-face recruits about Boys Anti-Tank Rifle.

Back in those days, not every animation was intended for kids.

  • Dear God the recoil is intense.

  • JUSTIN BIEBER WOULD DO THIS BETTER!!

  • 3 cheers for the .55 Boys anti-tank rifle!

  • Irony the Boys was removed from service soon after this film, it was effective against Japanese Tanks (owing to their lighter armor) and early Panzers but by the time this film came out the Wermarcht was starting to recieve Panther and Tiger Class Tanks, which a gun like this were useless against unless you hit the joints

  • Wait a minute... Why is he in there?

  • Propoganda like this is awesome!

  • Canada fought in ww2? Huh... Canada has a military?

  • PTRD & PTRS rules!

  • While in some places it is highly naive (I mean, who in the hell has perfect aim like that?), but overall it is a very thorough overview of the gun and its mechanisms.

    Top notch, really.

  • QUIIIIIIIEEEEEEET!!!! *BANG*

  • Rofl around 3 minutes hitler is having a "world's greatest freakout" moment...

  • SHUT UP HITLER, WE DON'T CARE HOW UNFAIR IT IS FOR A RACISTIC ANTISEMITIST TO LOSE A WAR SO STOP CRYING!!

  • This is a rather rare cartoon.

  • don't support Disney much cause everything Disney's production makes aren't 100% correct of answer ,Walt Disney is a JEW that born in Germany and he hates Hitller alot.

  • @lezbian90 doesn't know much about Disney. Disney detested Jews, especially Jews in show business. The original voice for the Big Bad Wolf had an obvious Jewish accent; it was one of Hitler's favorites. If you were a Jew working in Animation, Warner Brothers was the go-to studio. This may be why Bugs Bunny has always been funnier than Mickey Mouse, and Daffy funnier than Donald.

  • I'm pretty sure that trying to destroy any of the German Tanks in WWII with an Anti-Tank gun was like trying to kill an elephant with a needle.

  • i am german and cant understand 1 word hitler was saying. sounds a bit like german but i cant figure out any words. Oo

  • @Izanagy Giberish... Nonsense.

We don't need to understand it.

  • @SamPD2

yeah samy boy.. fits perfect to you usa moron. cant understand one word but claims bullshit. u can speak and understand only one language and thats the language of england - english. cant speak or understand anythingn else right?

u hear something what sounds to me half dutch half russian but u claim " yeah thats german i can hear it ". usa education at its best...

  • @Izanagy ... Why the hostilities?

  • The giant devil sort of reminds me of Frank Nelson. He looks just like him in a way

  • the boyes anti tnak sucked 50 cal did nthin mark 3 and mark 4 panzers and the mark 1 and 2nd were only imoblized at best never dong direct dmage

  • soldeir from tf2:give em hell boyz!!!

  • Tiger tanks...

  • I find it strange that Disney made a cartoon starring Hitler I ment he was a bad guy and they made a cartoon about him

  • WTF.

  • And this film was quite silly for it's time. In 1942, the idea that the Boys AT rifle could take out any armor then in use is pure fantasy. You might as well be throwing pebbles at the tanks. Even the Panzer III could easily shrug off front and side hits from anything less then point blank range, and even the rear armor would require you to get uncomfortably close.

This film is basically just lies and propaganda as far as how it refers to the effectiveness of the AT rifle.

  • Mr walt was a leagend but some people said he was Nazi is it true?

  • Nazi, No.

Extreme anti-labor rights activist that had many union organizers arrested as "communists", Yes.

  • not a nazi, but he didn't like jewish people as he pointed out during his last days.

  • Haha, Hitler's such a stupid jerk!

  • you just have to love this its so funny!!

  • Holy crap, that's a big clip.

Ha ha ha, the magic of x-ray animation. Classic.

  • Hitler spricht nichtmal sinnvolle detsche Sätzte.....

  • OMG I can´t belive Walt Disney did this thing..

  • I'll keep this film in mind next time a Panzer I or II invades my yard. lol

  • American infantry didn't use this rifle. Who used this rifle in theatre? Canada perhaps?

  • Such weapon devise in poland

  • Lol, he isn't really spaking german, as a german I couldn't recognize any of these words and they don't match with the subtitles, lol.

  • i give 1 point for disney for making fun of hitler

  • Wasn't this made in Canada?

  • Wonder if this gun can pierce through infantry

  • armour-piercing rounds aren't used to kill infantry. For that you need a bigger explosive charge. Anything less would be highly impractical, if not suicidal for the soldier using it.

  • 1:31 to 1:34 is like bheast wars transformers

  • only if cartoons were still like it, crappy baby shows now.

  • The only detail in that beginning cartoon is put into the gun >.>

  • wow i like how he made hitler seem like a tiny strange man ha ha he deserved it

  • Funny how they make it seem that using the anti tank gun is easy.

Add in 50 soldiers, a few tanks, foul weather, unsanitary ground, smog, lack of nourishment, the smell of death and bullets and explosions being fired everywhere and lets see how easy Disney could make it seem now. But thats only a drop in a bucket of what a real battlefield plays out.

Thanks for uploading this, it brings back memories.

  • Yeah, it shows the naive view we had about war back then - that a soldier could hit a target at 300 yards with ease and most combat took place at range (It didn't), that most engagements were relatively quick and clean at range (They weren't)...

The soldiers who had seen combat knew, as did their commanders, but the rest of the brass didn't. It wasn't until the end of WWII that we did studies and realized how wrong our perception of war had been.

  • @Jetman123 THE MORE NAIVE WE ARE ABOUT WAR THE MORE SUCCESSFUL WE ARE,THE MORE AWARE WE ARE ABOUT WAR THE MORE UNSUCCESSFUL WE ARE

  • @ZEROEVILDARKCOOL THE MORE YOU USE CAPS THE LESS I THINK OF YOUR INTELLIGENCE. Sorry.

  • @Jetman123 and that's why due to research, weapons get shorter all the time. Carbines are taking the world by storm!

  • @AAV47 is a carbine a smg firing rifle bullets and has a rifled barrel or a "Short rifle" that uses pistol bullets?

  • @laughs2hard456 Nah. A carbine is essentially a shorter barrelled-version of a full- length rifle. If you see the rifle muskets of the 19th century and compare them with today's assault rifles, you can see that they have certainly grown shorter. In fact, The M4 carbine is a derivative from the full-length M16. Similarly, carbines such as the G36c and the QBZ 97b are derivatives of full-length rifles. Google it. Google is education!

  • @AAV47 thanks

  • @Joroshira Yep, war sure is a bitch. At least you can find comfort knowing that, if you're a good shot, it's slightly worse for your enemy.

  • its funny how disney did this kind of stuff :0!

    hitler is a retard D:

    x

  • It seems you don't realise this is a propaganda film and nothing more - ie. never meant as a realistic depiction.

  • I remember using a similar gun in Close Combat 3. It was crap. The troops could never hit a tank more than 100 meters away, and less than 100 meters, it wouldn't do any damage and the tanks would just fire back with machine guns and kill the squad.

Speaking of which, I notice in the beginning animation that the tanks don't bother to fire back, so maybe that's why they're successful. :-/

  • **blink**

Are you honestly comparing an imaginary weapon in a computer game to a real life anti-tank gun?

Please remove yourself from humanity's gene pool

  • A game that takes extreme pains to be as close to reality as possible, so much so that a version of it is used by the US army for tactical training?

  • I thought they only used Americas Army the game. That was originally used to train US troops.

  • America's Army is a foot soldier game. The Close Combat games, specifically Close Combat: Marines, are more geared toward controlling more than one soldier, though not so many soldiers that it gets into the realm of strategy (it's a real time tactical game). As such, it's more geared toward Sergeants up through Majors or maybe Lt. Colonels.

  • ah ok cool. Sounds like a pretty neat game.

  • what the fuck are you saying??

  • Hitler a baby and wut a nice gun

  • hitler is planning with dr. no and dr. evil to kill every eagle in the world! :o

    lol

  • Hitler is in hell

  • OMG when Hitler is in hell.. He's acting exactly as the matador in "Fernando the calm bull" sketch... now that's freaks me out D:

  • Awesome facial animation

  • haha that funny
