Hey Bob! I'm a friend of Davis, I wanna meet you someday lol. I live pretty close to greenwood, so maybe one of these days. This is crazy!! Very hard... lol, do you know Lyman Golden?
I think it's funny, yet sad, to read the comments of ignorant people saying this is fake or easy. Bob has an amazing talent and is a great guy. I've met him a few times. (If you read this, Bob, I'm Davis. I've met you through Ian a few times) I love this so much.
hahah the first thing happend when i saw that there is tab for this i was like , YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH il cheak out the video then

I can *highly* recommend his CD's: weaseltrap dot com/Music dot html
All the songs I've heard I let repeat many times because they are so lovely and interesing, I just let them run and wish they were audible in every room. This man is fantastic as player and composer, MUCH THANKS to Bob Kilgore!
[and all I had been looking for was another tap dance video!]
I hope to start recording a new CD soon, but it may be a while before it's finished. I'll have some new videos long before the next CD comes out. Thanks for asking!
The Harmonic Capo is an invention of mine. It's looks like a capo, but it's very different. It plays harmonics! You can read all about it on my myspace page. I'm planning to start selling them very soon, so stay tuned...
Thanks! You can download a copy of the tab for this at my myspace page. If you've never tapped before, this'll take a long time to master. I've been thinking about making a tutorial to teach this tune. If I do, I'll post again here. -Bob
It sounds Celtic at the beginning then metamorphoses into something else, I don't think there's a word for it. I think it's amazingly good to listen to. It's like being led somewhere on a journey.
i dunno..in my opinion, it was mediocre. it didn't really have any groove or a beat to it, it was just kinda like a wall of noise. don't get me wrong, u are an amazing guitar player, i just don't think that his song really showcases ur full potential
This is a song written by a guitarist for guitarists. Sure everyone can enjoy it, but its like watching Spinal Tap, if you haven't been in a band, its just not funny.
i will be honest and say two things and make a suggestion. !. you ARE good...there is no question about that...kudos. 2. the arrangment was somewhat mundane...meaning it offered no "contrast"...no ebb and flow. it kinda all sounded overall the same. my suggestion for what it's worth....is to mix it up a bit. balance this type of playing with a melodic part to create like a "bridge/chorus" effect. let the music "breath" - give the listener a different sonic view
Hi, ricuda. It's just one guitar. It looks odd partly because the video sync isn't perfect, but mostly because neither hand is playing the "melody". It started off as an experiment in counterpoint. The melody emerges from the interplay between the right and left hand parts. It's disorienting to watch, but that was kindof the whole point. Check out the tab on my website. I promise all the notes are accounted for.
I don't know if I believe it. I've played the guitar for 22 years and you get an intuitive sense of what correlates between the hand movements on a guitar and the sounds that are produced. There are notes in there that are not accounted for. I hear a bass line that he is playing, and I hear the counstant din of the left hand pull-offs, but there is another guitar that we don't see.
This is great but Hear me out Please. I think you should have a group to play the background of the Irish Theme while you do the Tap Dancing finger trick on the Fret neck :D it would sound sooooooo bad ass!
Amazing, you will wow a fellow musician like me. To none musician, its rubish, needless to say, the world needs more of these instead of the garbage they play on the radio.
Well, I think so. To me, it sounds so much like a "traditional" Irish jig, I'd be surprised if NONE of the melody had ever been used before. But this arrangement (and definitely this way of playing it) is entirely my own.
a lot of Irish jigs sound very similar and can only be differentiated between by listening to all of them over and over consecutively... you very well may have your own song here and the only difference would be key or progression... either way very impressive... much respect
NEVER??? You need to see Erik Mongrain or Kaki King then. They play the same way. It's called tapping. This guy is really awesome. He must like Michael Hedges.
