Miami es la ciudad más hispana de Estados Unidos, la mayoría hablan español por que son hispanos. En California, los documentos de su gobierno tienen que estar escritos tanto en inglés como en español. Muchos famosos hispanos nacidos en Estados Unidos como Eduardo Xol, Michelle Rodriguez, Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes, Victoria Justice, Pitbull y otros más hablan perfectamente la lengua.

Que pena que hay latinos que son unos verdaderos pendejos y no les quieren enseniar espanol a sus hijos. Tengo una amiga que es mexicana y solo les habla en ingles a sus hijos. Es una verdadera pendeja y se lo he dicho muchas veces pero la idiota no me hace caso.

Si es verdad, a pesar q es hija de latinos deberia o debio haber aprendido español, pero es casi imposible debido a que su entorno es practicamente en ingles, eso puede llegar a confundir a un niño cuando crece.

I think it's good if you can speak more than one language. I myself speak English, Dutch, French, German and I am learning some others.

Believe me, you won't manage everywhere with English.

It's beautiful to speak more than one language and even more beautiful to speak your native language.

She is still "Latina" whether she speaks spanish or not.  Latin America is not completely just spanish speaking countries. Brazilians speak portuguese.

My point is that she is a "Latina"

and she will stop being latina until she HERSELF decides to not identify with us anymore.

This sort of issue should not be dividing our ethnic group...

her accent is probably just different from yours. there are a lot of different countries where people speak spanish, and many of them have different accents (e.g. i've visited chile, argentina, and spain, and the only country of those three that matched my spanish teacher's accent was chile. doesn't mean everyone else in the other two countries had bad accents). and just because she grew up in america, doesn't mean her accent is not good.

i think what franky7799 is talking about is that she speaks spanish with that american accent. I myself speak spanish everyday to my family and sometimes you go like, " my spanish sounds wierd, my words are not carried all the way.
