What britain needs to do right the fuck now as soon as possible is cut military spending. We here in the US need to that way more than the brits do, but you nontheless have to do it as well. Bring your troops home, you're not a superpower anymore, deal with it, we can't afford to be one either, everyone needs to stop worrying about fill in the blank-stan and start worrying about povertystan at home. The only way to do that is to stop wasting money and give it back to the people.
I don't understand how the previous episode has had less viewers than this and subsiquent ones. Why would (at the time of this post) 682 people have skipped ep3 but watched the rest ?
@Vahtacen Rofl you have no clue. Those private sectors have been socialized in the name of universal coverage, medicare and medicaid. Insurance companies are made to pay for everything and doctors aren't accountable to their patients but to the insurance company, which drives costs way the fuck up so that people without insurance can't get it. America's healthcare is socialist under the guise of being privatized.
@123hilk open up an english take away beef and a yorkshire pudding in a tin tray or be really traditional and do microwave meals and pot noodles ,,i ownder if they will start calling you a round eyed plick
The NHS can no longer run as efficiently as it once did as the way it is allowed to run will happen time and time again if it gets fixed, because state sector businesses don't have to compete with others, and make profits. Therefore they become wasteful and inefficient. Private sector businesses keep costs down to make profits and have to compete with other businesses to lower prices and increase efficiency. This is why Private sector health care will always be better than the NHS.
People and businesses are to complacent, like in my small town you can not compete or sell the same things as a shop is already selling, what happens is the shop's service goes down, quality of goods sold goes down and price goes up with no competition. In asia if one shop is doing well somebody a week later will open up across the road a compete. People get better deals, services, and goods. It forces people to think of better ideas and create heathy competition. Without all the red tape bull.
Oh yes! Scrap the NHS, get the private schools in, scrap all welfare and everybody will just get a job, get private police and army (cause they cost a lot of money). This is all Neo Con agenda that makes me puke. I can't believe they claim the people on welfare pay the welfare back in taxes. Great mathematics, yeah!
@necudaspavam nobody is saying scrap the nhs or all welfare or to put everyone into private schools. saying that this is "neo con agenda", whatever that even means is just shite. and they never claimed that people on welfare pay their welfare back in taxes, what are you on about? they back up everything they say in this programme, argue with things that they actually say if you want to make a point.
Sad to say here in the USA, people believe that UK health care is the best in the world. Thats why they want it here in the states. Makes me sad and angry.
@Mackingster No one here believe that UK has the best healthcare in the world, you must be confusing France with shit UK. France is well known for it's healthcare system as being the best in the world. You should be sad and angry at your distorting facts.
@volkl2006 I am not distorting facts. I am only repeating what our dumb politicians claim, A lot of them claim the UK has the best system in the world. There for we in the US have to copy it. They do not even talk about France or any other country in Europe. The only other country they talk about when it comes to government ran health care is Canada.
@Mackingster Maybe worth noting that Britain spends more money on healthcare than the rest of Europe and yet we have one of the worst funded hospitals in Europe. Bureaucrats eat up all the funds, you don't want this in America mate.
@frostyuk2007 America's the same, only difference is insurance eats up the funds instead of the bureaucrats. All in the name of universal coverage, low deductibles, and not denying pre-existing conditions.
The bad thing about the US situation though is that uninformed people think it's the private sector's fault when really it's government working hand in hand with insurance companies, and those companies being made to cover ALL healthcare costs.
@frostyuk2007 The point of insurance is to cover emergencies and things that are genuinely very bad and that you weren't expecting. Nowadays people expect it to cover everything, and go to the doctor for so much as a cold and expect to have all kinds of things done that they don't even need. You can only imagine what this does to prices...
This doc is very good and true although the NHS was once the best system in the world. The problem has been that we have let in all the immigrants as well as allowing doll scroungers....both of whom who seek to ponse off of the state their entire lives without putting anything back into the system.
It's now got to the stage where the NHS is no longer working how it should which is why it sucks. In other words...it's not the NHS but it's the way it's been allowed to run.
I know my comment abut immigrants will get rapped although it's true. Go into any hospital in London and 80% of the patients you will see will be Somalians/Non EU nationals that can't even speak Englsh. half of them don't even have anything really wong with them either. They are not used to having services like these so take advantage.
