When genius, virtuosity, senstivity, and dedication to ones craft converge you get a treasure like Tommy Jones. One of the greatest guitar pickers that ever lived. His passing was a enormous loss for the world. He lives on in his recordings and those of us fortunate enough to have memories of being with him and the priviledge of hearing him perform or just watching him practice. Tommy, i miss you.
Absolutely wonderful touch and musicality. If I could play like this I would quit doctoring, only play guitar, an live offa baked beans. Good lord that speaks to me.

Sadly, just like Buster. B Jones, Tommy struggled with a life-long drinking problem. The years of abuse took him from this world way too soon.

Saw him on Hee Haw at age 17. Does anyone know how he died? Can't find it.
