McMurdo and the South pole use the time in Christchurch, NZ where we fly out from. Scott Base uses the time in Chile where they take the boat from. You cross the IDL so it's back a day from time in the US.

I thought all of Antarctica was in UTC. If it followed time zones, then near the South Pole, every few inches would be a time zone.
