Rock Me, Baby was first recorded in 1940 by Big Bill Broonzy. No one really knows who and when it was originally written. There is speculation from here to Kingdom Come and back-but no living person really knows the original author. One thing's for sure; Delta Blues Juke Joint song from way before Tina Turner was ever conceived.
