Thats my boy..straight from my home town Albany NY...I remember we played at St. Rose together....Talented musician and we have the same name except I spell mine Stephon....Good Luck fam !!!!
Nice to see a contemporary vibist playing with 2 mallets and with the motor on! Not that Gary Burton isn't a fantastic and important vibist but he seems to have become the only one that modern vibes players are influenced by sound wise; Stefon's approach sounds much more organic and in the older tradition of the music, with much more modern harmony.
i was lucky enough to have gone though a jazz clinic with stefon, he had itresting theories that diferent notes on a chord were like diferent people or personalitys. He was not at jazz camp this year but i hope he will come back in 09. Thanks for the help Stefon.
that was superb. I don't use that word often, but it was the first word to come to mind.

Okay so the fact that Jason Moran and Bandwagon are backing him up along with Mr. Osby on accompaniment is simply delicious.

It is worth noting that this song is entitled "And This Too Shall Pass," which can be heard on Harris' Blue Note debut, _A Cloud of Red Dust_.
