Didnt have enough riom to be more specific....i am on vacation on Maui, they have tv here in Hana, but tonight im in an old local no frills cottage, hearing the Ocean and enjoying this old jingle.....thanks
I am in a little town on Maui called Hana. No tv, nothing much to do but relax. Flying in to Maui as we landed, we crossed some of the few remaining sugar fields in Hawaii. I saw workers cutting the sugar cane and we passed over a very old building with a metal roof. You can barely make out the old logo for C&H sugar on it from the air. It brought back memories of the song and bow im actually in Hawaii with no tv, but thanks to 3G, my Iphone, and Youtube, i can enjoy a happy few moments .
Wow, they sure have changed since those days. My wife worked for Domino Sugar which bought out CnH and Jack Frost and they were THE WORST EMPLOYER EVER!!!! Nice commercials though, thanks for posting. C and H seems like a nicer place to work.
The funny thing is, these commercials were never shown in Hawaii. And they never will be, because there's no sugar industry here anymore.
The only one of these I ever saw before was the first, black & white one. I saw that while visiting California in the middle 1960s. I was offended by the obvious mainland voices that the local kids were lip-synching.
No matter which company has pure cane sugar, they really need to advertise more pure cane sugar on TV. I am tired of HFCS. Pure cane sugar is better for your digestive system and makes you feel good.
@vetb882 HFCS is high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup (aka corn sugar) is a sweetener made from corn. HFCS is common in sodas, bread, cereal, and most dairy products. Coca-Cola products carry HFCS, so do Pepsi products (except Throwbacks), Dr Pepper products (except for Dublin Dr Pepper), and of course Big Red products (except for Retro Big Red). Boylan and Hansen are the only companies that have always used pure cane sugar.
@AMEwrestling Thanksa Bro, I was made hip to that from a tv journalism show and it is very bad stuff, it doesn't digest well in the belly and causes all kinds of cancers and junk.
I was just driving in crockett a couple days ago. drove by the refinery. Hmmm it's not really pure cane. its processed, makes you fat and gives you diabetes. lol
Thanks for posting that! I was in one of those commercials when I was 6 yrs old and LOST my only copy. You don't have a copy by any chance?? I was in the one that the boy traded sugar cane for puppies...

I remember when they used the first song (or was it the whole first commercial?) back in the 90's. Man, could they write memorable jingles back then.
