  • Acctually I managed to follow the links to your website and downloaded it from there and will now (with your permission) use it as part of a powerpoint presentation as anecdotal evidence.

Not Looe School I'm afraid, but the postgraduate dept. of the University of Plymouth.

  • Yes sure, please add some kind of credit.

You can add the polperro storm one too if you want, it has a bit better footage of the tide coming up the streets etc.

    Jon.

P.S. Next high tide is on August 22nd.

  • Im goin to looe on the 21st so this could be different considering I have never seen the tide past the beach in the many years i have been!

  • Cool, should be a really low tide too - we are going to walk out to Looe island on the Saturday (think it is the only time of the year you can do it).

  • Would it be possible to get hold of the orriginal video file of this as it would be really great to use in a student presentation I'm doing to my lecturer about flooding in the area?

  • Yes, should be fine. I'll have to dig out the tape though. Is it for Looe school?

I have a video of floods in Polperro too if that helps?

  • i luve looe i go evri year+if this was the 11 of august or aroud tht time thn i was in looe

  • It was about a month later, we had more high tides then.

With the sea levels supposed to rise another 3ft in this century it could get very interesting in the future!

  • i live in looe my uncle owns bridgeside guesthouse go there its a very nice place

  • Thats amaising!! the power of nature!

  • It's still a lovely place, even under water.

  • Yeah, that was an epic night.

I have vids of the Polperro flood that I am gonna upload soon too.

  • Looking forward to watching them. One of my fav places on earth.

  • I LOVE LOOE :)

  • When I used to live in looe (above the old co-op) We woke up one morn to find all the furniture floating! that was the way it was if you forgot to put the duck boards up and sandbags.

  • I enjoyed your film. I was in Lyme Regis recently and the sea was level with the top of the harbour wall!!

  • NICE WEATHER FOR DUCKS!

  • Please post a comment for this video! Thanks.

    Good or Bad!
