  • that made me cringe

  • The rugby world championships start this Friday. We took a closer view at the top favorite South Africa and looked for decisions, why the “Springboks“ are so successful. We met the stars, who want to defeat the title. Find the entire story in the new “Red Bulletin“, our Red Bull lifestyle mag.

For further information google „Red Bulletin September 2011“.Or check out the next kiosk to grab the mag.

  • @tobiasstelter shut up

  • Commentary was bullshit. He knew exactly what he was doing with that neck shit because if he didn't know it was dangerous he'd have to be a total retard. He was a fckin cunt trying to really injure someone and he deserved 10 punches not 2.

  • Typical S.A playing dirty!

  • @DeeJayPeowPeow180907 typical pussy

  • @rugbyfan33 perfect example rugbyfag 33 =)

  • @DeeJayPeowPeow180907 i wasnt calling u a pussy i was calling the mike rhodes

  • @rugbyfan33 My bad, sorry bro.

  • @DeeJayPeowPeow180907 its good the deathroll is what people do when they cant blow them over the ruck

  • @DeeJayPeowPeow180907 Yet if a nz team was to do that it would be perfictly fine?? kiwi fuck

  • This the first Highlanders fight that's not started by Cowan.

  • I would punch someone if they tried to take my head off like a bottle cap

  • in MMA terms anaconda choke ;)

  • Spent a large chunk of my life playing rugby in nz have never EVER been taught to clear people out like that. Not sure where some of the others are getting that from. Must play for some very dirty clubs.

  • @UHtiger Are you american? I'm american and am thinking about traveling to Scotland, Wales or England to play Rugby. Do you have any thoughts? I'm in peak physical conditioning and I'm serious about that and play in clubs (i'm 19) and tend to pretty well compared to other players (America isn't all that good because not many people play it here)

  • @Issaquan5 Nah mate, new zealand born and raised but now living in australia. If your serious and want to learn from the best then new zealand or south africa are the places you want to go. If you want to go for sunny beaches and a good lifestyle with a half decent comp then australia is a good place. If going to the UK england would be the best competition. If you think your good enough to earn a bit of money while your doing it france throw their money around a bit.

  • I've only see this twice now. Both times South African players were the culprits. This game and the Stormers/Waratahs game where a Waratahs player was n the receiving end of the throw. Justice was done with the Lions player getting six weeks and the Highlander's player getting off altogether.

In the Waratahs game, thge Stormer player got sin binned. Would he have got suspended had his team been as low in the table as the Lions?

  • that was such a filthy "technique" of getting him out of the ruck... he deserved to take one (maybe a couple more) on the jaw.

  • typical South African thuggery

  • SIALE PIUTAU all day, W.T.C represent

  • The correct technique is as the commentator states, lower, under the armpits and twist the entire torso at once, in the same direction to minimise risk. I don't know what club or park rugby you guys are playing, but in higher levels there is nothing of that sort going on anywhere. Players realise the risks, and are good enough to use correct techniques.

  • Unfortunately for the people who have commented saying "this gets taught in most senior rugby clubs, he just got caught", you're flat out wrong. Are you stupid? Not only is it common sense that twisting somebody's neck even 5 millimetres out of it's natural range of motion can break it, I have played professional rugby in both New Zealand and Australia and decent coaches NEVER, EVER teach a player to rip or twist someone's neck in that fashion. In fact they teach the opposite.

  • This gets taught in New Zealand and most senior rugby clubs, you cant break somebodies neck like in the movies with it but it scares the players really well. he just got caught

  • @gzuss090909 Your a clueless twat

  • Fuck i hate south africans, i wish those jaarpie cunts would go home...

  • @MoFoHardstyle yo u mother fuking mother fuking piece of shit pathetic excuse for a human. how the fuk can you genernalize like that??? its not all of the players that play so dirty man! im not agreeing what has been done but u shudnt accuse a nation for a few ppls wrong doing. u sucha fool but yah guess its not your fault hey must be those dumb fuk parents of yours for not raising u the ryt way

  • @MoFoHardstyle is a dickhead and we will beat yur chinese ancesters asses

  • New Zealanders have been dirty sh$T like that for years....so...

  • @Harryanic example please!!

  • if he was wearing a blue kit he wouldnt have been banned. he got no time for the punches? BULLSH1T. biased against the green and gold. And now the new stupid format that needed to be changed coz australia dont play good enouhj rugby to have a domestic league kills the South African teams.Pathetic.

  • @tzahallazza sorry. that makes no sence at all

  • @tzahallazza derp

  • The thing is that people do that all the time even in club rugby. Its coached in NZ to pull a players neck & twist in the ruck to get them out. Its just that this guy got caught holding on too long

  • fukn springbok fag shud break his neck and ban him 4eva fukn faggots even got the cheeck to make a movie about winning the world cup pfffft bitch pleeeeasee NZL ON TOP ALWAYS AND 4EVA AB NZ FAN

  • What a knucklehead, Luckily kiwi necks don't break that easily though!

  • this new grapple occurred twice in the same week all players know damn well you don't work the neck or head. This arsehole should be banned...

  • Good on ya brother, don't take that shit. he could have broken his neck, a smack to the side of the face is nothing in comparison.

  • He maybe got band for that but hey the Lions still won.

  • I don't work for SANZAR, but it appears I could...

Maybe they read my comments and took my advice :)

I agree with @masterofbation69 that he could easily have been given more, personally I don't think theres any place for stupid crap like that in the professional game, and apparently the same thing happened to Tom Carter in the Tahs, Sharks match; but haven't seen that footage.

  • @coldjet2 Check TTRugbyVids highlights of the Tahs-Sharks game, I remember Carter's incident being in there. It happened on the touchline in front of the assistant ref.

  • well, i personally don't think there is anything wrong with Piutau's reaction, whether it be a mistake by Rhodes or not, as that was extremely dangerous and potentially devastating for the winger. That being said, i do think Rhodes deserves some time off, at least 4 weeks.

  • Rhodes deserves 6 weeks. Personally I'd let Piutau off, but my guess is he'll get a couple as well.

  • @coldjet2 you got that one spot on, do you work for SANZAR? or just good at predicting the future?

  • @coldjet2 Deserves more than six weeks, he literally could have snapped the guys neck and killed him.
