Nice, i didn't know that this boss battle was this easy... i just randomly ran around waiting to get caught and then shooting him... That first encounter of the end really helped since you can just follow him after that and his back is always turned... Thanks!

It was fairly easy to kill him, I used grenades, planted TNT on the sniping points and detonated them when he chose those sniping points. Took me just over one hour. No doubt it was grueling battle. lol

anyway, to me, the end's boss battle is truely one of a kind. the patiance and skill you need to get through it or to even just find the bastard is intense and the surprise of being sniped from no where makes anybody jump.

Some of you may aleady have found this out, but if you're the type that likes to sneak up behind The End and shoot rather than snipe him, be careful because sometimes when The End moves to another sniping location, instead of facing off the cliff like he normally does, he'll set up facing inward, expecting you to show up behind him. Since his sniping areas are usually around the corner, you want notice it until too late and walk right into him blasting you in the face. So keep that in mind.

Everyone complains about this boss, but I think he's the bes boss simply because it's more realistic than having some electric freak punch the shit out of you.

Plus it *can* last a long time, just like a real sniper battle would!

i played a demo of this game and i loved it, but just one thing(i don't know much about the game), i always see people using the tranquiliser gun against bosses. why don't they use the other guns? i've seen only once a player using the dragunov against the fury. and the shotgun? i know this a stealth game, but i never see anyone using it on bosses.

YOu knw you can also kill him while he is being taken inside at the aquadocks. Right after you deal with the sorrow, and it also unlocks a mini game while snake is captured close to the end of the game. =D jus a lil fyi if you dont already knw.

I'm SOOOOO mad right now!!! It is because there is a different way for him to die. If you are in the middle of the battle, and you save and play a week later, he will die of old age. It sucks because I almost beat the level with the tranquilizer guns and I would have won if my controller hadn't broke.

there is a really simple way to defeat him. You just go to your ps2 main menu and change the date to couple of years a head. When you start the game again it has a cutscene where The end dies of old age really funny))))

ya with thermal goggles you can chase this guy repeatedly by following his footsteps if you somehow lose him the first time.

i just played this fight again but without thermal goggles and its so much harder to find him. had to get lucky lens flares and use the directional mic along with every sensor available to finish him

I absolutely hated facing this guy. This was one of the toughest boss battles I have faced on ANY game. You have to go everywhere to find him. The best way to defend against him is to keep your stamina up or it is back to jail. I like the way this guy beat him. It certainly wasn't that easy for me. It is funny how you think that you are great at a game. Then, you see videos, such as these. Then, you realize you ain't really shit.

I was trying to beat him using the MK22 so i could get the Camo uniform.Every time i got close to completely draining his stamina he would bloody eat something so i'd have to try again until there was no food left for him to eat.

i did it the cheap way...i kept shooting him with the EZ Gun without holding R1 (it is like autoaim if hes close enough) and it drained his stamina easily...also try and throw stun nades and if he keeps eating stuff then throw a Siberian Ink Cap, they are always nasty and it poisons them for a little while

Alternative way of defeating The End, is to save when the boss battle begins and then quit the game and shut off the PS2.. Wait atleast an hour, and then load the game.. You should get a codec call and Major Zero/Para-Medic (Can't remember which one) says that The End has died, I did this accidentally O_o
