Yeah... too bad Over the Top barely got a chance at ALL. They barely promoted and canceled it after 3 episodes... It's a total shame, because personally I found Over the Top absolutely hilarious! & Tim Curry is an INCREDIBLE performer!
As far as I can tell, he's completely detatched himself from it, as far as he can anyway. I'm not quite sure what his main problem with it is, seeing as it is possibly the most successful and well known of his projects.
He didn't show up anywhere for the DVD release. I just don't get where this reluctance comes from. Either way. He makes a sexy actor, sexy transvestite, and a sexy pirate.
i think its because it distracts from his later roles, and he didnt want to get stuck being a one hit wonder, and the association with him to the RHPS really restricts his range, and as he has proven very sufficiently in the following decades, HE HAS NO LIMIT!
He was reluctant to talk about being in RHPS for years because he was becoming increasingly creeped-out by all the crazed fans stalking him and going through his garbage.
He doesn't seem to be as annoyed with being asked about it as he was in the past. In fact, he's come to somewhat embrace the role and views it as a "rite of passage" for teenagers in recent years.
@Roobyq I know exactly what you mean! He is a brilliant actor and he has done so much more since that time, they should give him more credit, plus did you see how is face dropped when they mention Rocky?. He is a fantastic actor and should be seen and treated as such =P
