Enjoy the satire and The Rick Mercer Report. Wasn't it obvious from the start that he wasn't a Tory? I don't think the population of Canadians care about right-wing opinions (trust me, in Poli Sci their comments usually get shot down by the class). Based on U.S. electoral stats, the majority of Republicans are uneducated people (non-university educated people). I'm quite positive the stats are the same in Canada too.

As for the clips on youtube, it is only within recent months that Rick Mercer has reached youtube. And so it would obviously be attacks on the Conservative government. It's always easier to attack the government then the opposition. But even still, I've found clips of him satirizing the Liberals. Paul Martin's position on missle defence is a good one.
The fact is, the majority of Canadians enjoy Rick Mercer's satire. Furthermore, in a democracy criticism is needed to keep a government accountable. Rick Mercer keeps the government accountable in a way that the public will enjoy, through satire. He also has made fun of the Liberals, along with the NDP and Bloc. Your accusations of Mercer attempting to bring down Conservative mandates have no proof or even evidence behind them. So please be careful about what you say.
Proof positive that you are stupid. Any attempt to deny funding for one of the CBCs most popular shows based on political grounds would destroy the conservatives.
