@ollemannen5 i m using M-audio Fast track Usb . IF i buy the pro i will have better quality? i dont think so cause it works both at 44khz i mean on guitar rig its 44khz
i have my guitar hooked up to my comp and my comp sound output to my amp. i can't seem to get guitar rig to work... i have a good setup but how do i get it to recognize my guitar.. in other words, i play my guitar and no sound comes out. can you help me?
he's wrong. you just need a mic port and a standard audio patch cord, you can use a normal guitar cord and get an adapter so you can plug it into your mic port, or you can use a standard mp3 patch cord, and put a 1/8th adaptor on one end for your guitar, and leave the rest normal for mic port, whatever works for you. after that go to File >> midi or audio settings >> then on soundcard, look for "FrontMic" or something similar, it SHOULD work.
Yes, but the sound will kinda suck. Try the line-in, thats much better, because it can handle more db than the mic input. Also, download AISO4ALL to cut down some of the latency. But with my new comp and its onboard soundcard, AISO4ALL doenst work, because it has factory AISO drivers on it, but the latency sucks, I had better results on my old soundcard. Oh well, think i am going to buy a toneport or something.
hook me up with the patch.

@ollemannen5 you get better quality from an M-audio Sound card usb interface or it doesnt matter?

@WutangClan4LiF3
Depends on what soundcard usb interface you are using from M-audio.

you need a guitar recording interface, i strongly recommend purchasing a tascam us-122l for home recording. use it myself :)

is not the same thing, is better to plug in a mixer or similar, to boost, if you want a better sound.
