  • Idiot...

  • I worked for NWA for five years as a flight attendant (from 1998-2003) We just flew on Delta for the first time and I can honestly say that Delta is a superior airline to the old NWA. We will fly Delta repeatedly I'm sure.

  • Delta Airlines is the best I have always had great service and will always continue to fly Delta.

  • The lst leg of our trip was from Detroit to DAYTON. Something so simple. We were to board at 7;30 Sun. three hours later we board. We spend the next 3 and a half hours on the run way, we sat so long we had to refuel after that they cancell. Next flight was two days away. SO to hell with work or children. 8 am monday were finnally rent car to get to Dayton DRIVE HOME FROM THERE . Delta is by far the worst airline we have ever flown NEVER AGAIN ps Still trying to find luggage. Bunch of SHIT

  • They lost my baggage twice. Every Delta Employee in ATL was useless and all but one was rude. The 2nd time my bag was lost was back home - FNT. I was told 3 hours. I returned in 5 hours. no clerk. The 800 number told me clerks were not answering the phone. I walked over the counter and went into the back room where I found one sleeping and one apparently finishing a nap-she was straightening her clothes and looking a bit stunned Delta's answer - 3,700 FF miles. If they aren't on Airtran no thx.

  • Its nice to see that the spirit of TWA lives!

Delta unlike American Airlines truly has the sense of brotherhood & sisterhood that together form a family and a great airline!

What Delta & Nortwest have accomplished are the fundamentals of a successful merger not what American Airlines did to TWA and their workforce!

    Proud to be call Delta!

  • @TWTR4EVER Hector You sound like one Happy Cuban Stewardess! So nice to see Delta hires us "Old Queens", See ya in the Sky Girl!

  • One GREAT Airline (Yeah until delta came in the equation) :P

  • Please, could anybody tell me what song sounds while everybody is talking and after the pilot talks 3.26?? Also at the biginning of the video? Generally in the entire video? Thanks ;D

  • This makes me want to vomit.

  • Since the merger NW only cities have lost service, employees have lost jobs. And Delta is terrible I want the red tail back.

  • BULLSHIT THATS BULLSHIT!!!! delta is the fucking WORST airline in the world. NWA FOREVER!!!!

  • @warhawk4545 i bet if NWA came out on top you would say NWA sucks Delta forever

  • It's over. NWA is dead, long live DAL. It's over. Look at the MASSIVE airline you work for now, ALL OF US! Just be proud about it and move on, work together to keep people flying on time, to as many locations as possible, and making sure they want to fly with us on the return trip. It's over. We are not Western Airlines, not Pan Am, not Northwest Airlines. We are Delta. It says so on our operating certificate as well as on our paychecks.

  • @CLUTCHNSHIFT ...what a foolish ignorant statement. NEW Delta IS , Western/PAN AM...and most definitely NORTHWEST...with them, Delta would still be a puddle jumper between Mobile and Atlanta...that is if it had survived it's sad financial skills.

Delta folks don't like to learn the facts surrounding business transactions, if they did, they'd put a stop to their false sense of hubris. Delta survived by being a parasite, it is not known for anything original, nor contributed anything to aviation.

  • Funny thing is, Delta people treat us like peons, and its THEIR airline. You can argue the union issue all you want, but Delta employees treat us like sh*t, apparently ignorant to the fact that without NWA cash and assets they would have no jobs.

  • We at PM DL are treated the same way by you guys. You treat us like sh*t. You all started it

  • @wg40504 Of course, we started it. Who thinks they are taking over who? Im sure we will all become non-union, and really who cares? If this thing is going to work both sides have to put their fists down.

  • I did not raise my fists in the first place. I thought the merger was a great idea. I went around trying to get to know my NWA co-workers, just to say welcome. Every time I tried to be friendly with an NWA employee even now I'm given the cold shulder and I did nothing wrong

  • @wg40504

There in lies the problem...this is NOT your Delta, it is a NEW DELTA that is half NW...it will serve former Delta well to remember that. Your name may be on the plane but it is far from your Delta. Just take a look at your NW management.

  • Delta was so poorly managed that they had a $9.1 Billion tax credit loss from bankruptcy that could not be transferred to a new owner. THAT's why the Delta name survived.

NW was superior to Delta in every way operationally, financially, and IT. Their DOT rankings speaks for itself...number 1 for the decade of the 90's and most of the 2000's.

    NW employees were robbed.

Don't forget who brought the most cash to the merger..NWA. NW could have bought Delta twice. Hedge Funds own them & merged.

  • He acts like he is from Delta...He's NORTHWEST, 15 years. He's praising Delta in hopes of keeping it NON union. He also helped X NW CEO crook Steenland walk away with $27 million after robbing the employees and selling the company.

Nothing here for NW employees to be happy about. It was their pay cuts that brought $3.5 Billion in cash to the merger vs. Delta's $2.7 Billion.

Same NW management that ruined bankrupted NW.

  • We will miss NWA but Delta is a great airline im happy to fly on them

  • i really liked nwa. well delta is a great airline though.i guess ill be taking it to philippines now instead of nwa.ill miss nwa.i cant wait to take a delta B747-400!

  • Amen I love working for DAL I wish the people at my station thought as you and I do

  • The proud people of DAL who you call " coolaid (sp) kool-aid drinkers and ass kissers " are the reason that closed minded simpletons like you still have a job in todays economy. We take pride in our organization and do our best to provide superior customer service to our loyal and valued customers everyday. You speak of " adding the poison " It's individuals like yourself that bring your nonsensical rhetoric and negative attitudes to work everyday.

  • Dont forget the worthless stock we got too. This crap has as much value as the scrap of toilet paper Larry Craig claimed to be reaching for in the crapper.

  • What a collection of coolaid drinkers and ass kissers. Where did they find these fools? Keep buying into the "plan" and lose your job to DGS for half the pay.

This all sounds good if the airline WERE run by employees, but we now have a puppet regime with Steenland and Anderson pouring the coolaid and taking turns adding the poison. Sick.

  • Lies.

  • (In drunken Homer Simpson voice)

    Secrets and lies...

  • Im going to laugh my ass off if this whole thing backfires lol. I think its great that they are merging though, its just sad to see another airline gone.

  • Richard at SLC airport!

  • GO DELTA

  • forget northwest

    and remember the best

    DELTA AIR LINES

  • @gilmar9999...obviously, you never read where NW out ranked Delta in almost every cat...

  • Ha...he said the SAME THING for 15 years while miliking millions from NORTHWEST!!!!!

Same Face...more airline employees to take from.

  • Why are they becoming Delta? Why not North West colours?

  • caused delta bought most of nwa.

  • @RandomJensen delta bought nwa thats y

  • delta needs to make some changes if they want to make a huge airline like make some upgrades

  • if there merging then

they should call it delta west..lol

  • not going to happen lol

  • Cover your mouth with your hand

    2. Make a wish

    3.Close your hand (fist)

    4. Hold your hand at heart for 5 seconds

    5. Send this to 3 more videos

    6. Tommorrow will be the best day ever

  • The Delta Spirit craft was dedicated on March 6... that's my b-day!!!

  • Delta's FA's are not all that nice and Delta's seats are sorta uncomfertable

  • Say Goodbye to the Airbuses, DC-9's, and 747's. they will be sold or sent to the Mojave desert. They have to get rid of the Northwest junk planes

  • what, the a320s and a330s have been repainted

  • @rj1141 woudl that be anything like those ancient rusty 767's, or those nasty md 90's (later version of dc 9's)

    You people are delusional.

  • last time the AA was mad at me because i took 15 sec to decide what to drink

  • ha ha

  • I wonder, what is the new paint scheme going to be??? What will the Emblem be??

  • Probably the same. They'll probably keep the name NWA and just say its an expansion of Delta.

  • no. all nwa aircraft that the airline decides to keep will be repainted in delta's new colors. they've already painted some nwa aircraft, and will continue to do so. the nwa name will not be displayed.

  • On Some ont the Smaller DC-9s tho...Near the Registration numbers i seen " Operated by Northwest Airlines" Aft of the plane....I havent seen anything on the A300's yet

  • DAL

  • Delta is now going to have 747's i always have flown northwest and i hope delta takes care of these beautiful planes like northwest has and now Delta wants to take northwests DC9-30'S out of the desert the ones that got retired a long time ago but Northwest still fly's a lot of DC9-30S,40S,AND 50S I THINK THERE BETTER THAN THE MD 80S

  • VERY TRUE. ive flown on the DC-9-31 northwest and its great to fly on a true workhorse of aviation. those planes have served northwest very well!!!

  • DL just unveiled the first 747-400 in their livery at VCV recently.

Howver I disagree about the DC-9. It's inefficient, flies lower capacity, and has a longer turnaround time than the MD-80. I might be a bit biased, but the MD-80 is one of the better aircraft to fly, as pax or crew, its easy to work with, and its built damn solid. It's really the evolution of the DC-9, a great aircraft made better.

Unfortunately, DL's ditching their M88s, so I think the DC9s will be gone soon.

  • i see people cant take THE NEW DELTA already thats so funny to me

  • I wonder... will Delta revise the meaning of Airline Travel in North America? I hope so!

  • With the new Delta coming along, how's the service? I haven't actually been on Delta and I would like people's opinions. Compare and Contrast! Thanks!

  • i mean, they are better then what they used to be, but they still have a lot of work. Its very unfortunate that they are showing everyone great graphics and videos, but there are still many problems that need to work out before they become very successful.

  • Delta is good but there seats need work there not comfortable

  • Preach!!!

  • all asian base carriers are of course better then Delta

  • To me Delta is like a Greyhound bus with wings were as Singapore Airlines is the QM2

  • A legacy airline doenst only mean how long they have been around, but what an impact they have created in the airline industry. Singapore Airlines from the begining has proved that they are not ones to be f#cked with. While airlines over here in the states are going bust, SQ is still able to bring in a revenue of $1.5 Billion for 2008. An understanding of what great service and in-flight products is the real reason why so many travelers continue to fly with SQ.

  • Compare those figures to AF-KL.

    Miniscule!

  • I'm looking forward to seeing some Airbuses in Delta colors!

  • One great video, cant waith to see Delta 747 n.n

  • Welcome to the new disaster of an airline called Delta!

  • Sort of reminds me of the AA TWA merger video. Hmmm. Let the games begin!

  • bigger my not be better but its still delta so it will be great

    go delta

  • They might be the biggest airline in the world but ceratainly not the best!!!!

  • True, plus now they charge everything just like every US Carrier in the United States...I, don't see Delta like WOW i See Delta just like whatever...

  • I'm just like that with BA, plus BA never seemed to impress me.

  • How can you be one of the world's leading airline if your product and service is inconsistent (Delta). To have the title of a "Leading airline" such as SQ has earned, they have to be consistent among hundreds of areas. SQ is considered to be a 5 star airline, a legacy airline, frontier carrier. Delta is no way in the same league as SQ let alone on the same level and playing field.

  • Exactly! I totally agree with you!

  • Welcome to the new Delta they say... just wait until they start firing people, cutting service and cities and retiring planes. That will be the new Delta!

  • totally agree with you!

  • 1:16 did she say "Delta Airlines makes some swagger here?"

  • its funny how here in the U.S, airlines are buying each other out in order to survive. While legacy global premier carriers like Singapore Airlines still maintains their reputation as being the most profitable and leading airline

  • A legacy carrier is someone like Delta or KLM for example, Singapore are in no way a legacy carrier, the haven't done anything to acheive that name. Not yet.

  • I thought Singapore was one of the worlds leading airlines,I think that is enough to acheive being a legacy carrier, not sure how you can say they haven't done anything !!

  • It is one of the worlds leading airlines, but compared to DL or AF, who are renowned for their excellent quality. SQ only got renowned recently because they received that horrible eye saw they call the 'A380'.

  • Singapore Airlines has topped the league tables for customer service for decades, not since it just got the A380!

Did you mean "eye sore" not "eye saw" ?

  • Singapore airlines is a legacy carrier and is the best in the world look it up. A legacy carrier is a large airline tht isnt low cost and has been part of the country

  • SQ was the first airline to offer a free meal, free alcohol in economy, first to offer AVOD, first to offer, headsets, fax machines on board, individual video screens and telephones in every seat, leading edge gaming and in-flight entertainment, "book the cook" service for special meals in First and Business classes, phone, fax and e-mail check-in, innovative cargo facilities, the list goes on and on. This is why SIA is considered to be a legacy airline.

  • SQ is also the first to fly the a380, first to offer a real seperate bed in first class (suites), first airline to offer the worlds longest non-stop flight (LAX and EWR), First commercial airline to offer an all buisiness class service on the worlds longest route, First and only airline to have an Icon featured in Madame Tsuades (SQ girl). Want more?

  • Ooh!

    Beds huh?

If they were the first to fly the A380, thats no achievment in my eyes, KL & LH offer all-Business class services too. The only reason why they have a display @ Madame Tussauds because it is based on an original Malaysian outfit. SQ is in no way an iconic airline in my eyes... TWA, DL, KL, AF, LH, BA, UA, AA, Qantas are all iconic carriers known throughout the world.

  • i presume that you have never been on board an SIA flight let alone can afford it. To compare Singapore Airlines to all those airlines is like compaing Apples to Oranges.

  • Afford it? Yes

    Flown SQ? Yes, 12 times

They are not an expensive airline you fool.

  • You know nothing about the airline industry so why waste your time by posting dumb comments? Lufthansa and KLM opeartes an all business class service with an injoint venture with a different airline company (Private Air). SQ opearates the all buisness class service under their name and their juricdiction. Which makes them the first Commercial airline to offer an all business class service.

  • I know a bit, SQ only offer the Business service on their A340-500's the first intorduced in: 2003. PrivatAir began operations in 1977. (See I know a bit)Get a life instead of saying bullshit to a bunch of people, I don't like SQ get over it, they're shit, and in no way an innovator.

    Twat

  • seemyseems

What world are you living in? You really have a warp mind of what service is then. If you prefer old, over weight grannies providing shitty ass service over a beautiful voluptuous kebaya glad sq girl then you are totally out of your mind

  • dont you listen at all kid? xxquker said that singapore is the first airline to operate and own their own all business class plane while lufthansa code shares it with a different company. How thick headed can an asshole get?

  • Kid?

Lufthansa don't codeshare, they own a small percentage of the aircraft similar to KLM, they are put on flights that thye operate, mostly oil destinations (like Houston or Dubai). And I'm pretty sure he/she didn't mention that did they? Stupid Arse.

  • you need to get a life and stop arguing with strangers on youtube bud

  • YOU need to get a life, and stop dishing out shit advice to people... BUD

  • i too think you should get a life and lay off the internet.

  • Your profile says you are still at school "kid" !!!

  • CHS is the name of my former school, i was enrolled there from 1990-1996, now I work for MTB in Chester.

Not much of a KID am I?

  • what about you

  • Mate i hop the pond every 3 weeks and ive used Delta before and they are bloody terrible. They are in no way in comparison to an elite airline like singapore. dont open your mouth unless you know what your talking about. Its an invite for others to jump in and belittle your knowledge

  • Yes I do,

I have flown SQ a number of times, most of them they were appauling, I have flown DL a number of times too and they were great and had great in-flight service.

  • And how in the hell are you going to assume that the only reason why the SQ girl got enshrined at madame tsuades was because she wore a traditional malay outfit? Do you even think before blurting out idiotic comments? If traditional outfits were the case then how come Thai airways or Malaysia isnt in the musuem? The reason why is because SQ has proven to the world that they are a leader. Thats why for the first time in history a commercial fiqure (SQ girl) was added to the collection.

  • I do know a lot about aviation, you spaz, your the one who thought that Singapore were the first to introduce PTV's. You only like SQ because they have PTV's in their cabins. And they were not the first to introduce an all Business service, Lufthansa have been using theirs longer than SQ. And one more thing it's Madame Tussauds not TSU.

  • DALelite.... just because they are bigger doesn't mean that they are any better than they were before.

  • I will be able to tell a Delta pilot from a NWA pilot; the Delta pilot will be flying the 777 while the NWA pilot is flying the Airbus.

I went to my local airport today to photograph some NWA aircraft before they are re-painted into Delta colors.

  • I will take a wait-and-see approach to this merger. The AA-TWA merger is still fresh on my mind. I see similarities, and not all are good ones.

  • this is great!!

i'm so gonna use their new jfk-got service when go to the US for the first time...

  • The New Delta...... The Premier Global Airline. Awesome video. I wish this airline continued success. Go Delta!!!!!!

  • once again... congrats to DELTA! finaly their dream came true to be the premier global airline! Go DELTA Go!!!
