Very well played. So many versions on You Tube go so fast and snatch at the phrases that the music gets lost and rythmn it ain't got. I aspire to playing it like you.
Fabulous, but on the second half, let it rip, don't be afraid, don't be cautious, wrong notes are part of the charm, reckless/total abandon is what's called for. Try it, you'll like it. You have the technique to pull it off.
Not being rude, but you know the starting note? It doesn't seem to sound right for some reason. Isn't it a D flat? I have done a recording of this but I will be uploading a better version soon. Please have a look at my current recording!
@scriabin1976 Haha! Oh sorry I don't know what I was on about!!! I listened to it again and it does sound like a D flat. On a few occasions I just thought it didn't sound like it. Sorry maaaaaan
haha, sorry. i guess i am just being picky because i learned this piece and my piano instructor got at me for a lot of things. you didnt make any mistake mistakes, its just how i interperet it. :) fabulous job!
oh... also, from measures 35-38, when it does the chromatic chords down the piano, it was a little quieter than i expected and the ritard at the end was a little bit much. i hope i am not being too critical... GREAT JOB, THOUGH!!!
hey!i think you did a really great job! i love how cleanly you played, and i thought the dynamics could have been a little more evident. at measure 39, you really slowed down, and it kinda bumbed me out, but you accelerated back up at measure 54, and that made me happy :) you probably werent hoping for a whole pick down, but i am going to say also that at measures 17-20, you could have made the 1st chord louder and the second really quiet. okay, ill shutup now! great job!!!
not bad at all!! your hand position is great btw haha
i like how when you go into the new section (around :40) you play it at a speed where you can seriously feel the syncopation and THEN speed up. great job bringing out the left hand in that one section with those triplets (are they triplets) and ending with the nice strong glissando.
Awesome man, just awesome! You're really rhythmically stable, and you can tell it's jazz! Plus really good tempo, not too fast, but also doesn't drag, good job! =)

Actually very musical, retards and all. It expresses a mood, and you seem to really enjoy playing it. Have you also learned "Liza"?

I appreciate your comments but remember playing music is supposed to be fun... I don't analyse as I play, I play from the heart mistakes and all!

yeah it's def a tricky little piece, best advice is to relax and be totally free with the wrists, lots of metronome pratice!
