  • @wed85

You think nadal fights till the very end but he is way behind djokovic mentally. In open era I don't think any body has lost 7 finals in a row to the same opponent including three grand slams which is also a new open era losing streak of consecutive slams.

Federer was much better then Rafa at his prime and wouldn't lose to his opponent that easily in most matches like Rafa did last year at Wimbledon n clay court season.

  • best tennis match ive ever seen, but fuck i was tired the next day

  • 4:45 , Fale ...

  • awesome trimph

  • Son muy grandes.

Mi blog de tenis mejorenme: galpartoro blogspot

  • this was a 5 sets match only because djokovic played 5 sets against murray, and had only one day to rest.

  • Ich liebe beide großen Spieler!

  • Jogaço!!!

  • in my mind two best tennis players in the world are federer and djokovic nadal has too many injuries

  • nadal celebrates way too much. pumping his arms continuously after every game he wins. all djokovic does is look at the crowd and clench's a fist.

  • Longest match in grand slam history and there's only 1 tiebreak? That tells you how much Djokovic bounces his ball lol. An hour of the match was probably Dojokovic standing there bouncing the ball.

  • @9i99itygoo long ralleys? lots of them

  • @9i99itygoo Get the facts right. The stats showed that Nadal actually took longer in between points on average than Novak (35 secs to Novak 30). But I get your point. They are both as bad as each other when it comes to taking a long time in between points.

  • ovaj uspeh jos vise dobija na tezini ako znamo da NOVAK konstantno igra sa IVANOM IVANOVICEM u dupetu...

  • Nadal why u lose

  • chuck norris

  • djokovic the dragonborn !!!

  • Fedex is d greatest if he was 25, 26 nw he would hv thrashd djoko his only prob was nadal bcoz he his lefty n that top spin to his backhand trick. Fedex dominated for 4 and a half years lets c djoko doin that djoko currently is d bst n only fedex can beat him... Nadal cnt beat djoko he is in his head...

  • If you wanna see the long higlights (in HD) :

    watch?v=u7Q7l2wJb5g&list=UUAp8Y5ll0um7-2q54NXtXhg&index=1&feature=plcp

    Don't thanks me. :p

  • amazing !

  • wow. check out novaks impersonations on my youtube channel thanks.

  • Nadal's topspin shots compliment Djoker's flat shots because he can hit down on the ball with more room for error.

  • poor nadal... i hope he takes the rest of the grandslams this year. he deserves it

  • @leftovers12 He will take them... if Novak's plain crashes and he dies... but the chances for that ummm low... :/

  • LMFAO. Djokovic takes off his shirt only to have it magically on again 4:49.

  • Way to go Novak.

  • 4:46 for a second I thought he was gonna be left hangin on world wide televison. that would have been funny xD

  • 2:10 this is unreal.

  • I had to turn this match off after the second set. There was just something so dull having to watch them play 36 trillion shot points from the baseline. I miss the older AO surface which was faster...

  • djokovic's shot at 3:00 was siiick

  • NE MOZE NAM NIKO NISTA JACI SMO OD SUDBINE MOGU SAMO DA NAS MRZE ONI STO NAS NE VOLE !!!

  • They should have cut the winner's trophy in half, and the shield in half and give each man a piece....so amazingly close, this makes it look like there should be draws in tennis.

  • @Shodai24 sadly there can only be one winner.

  • @Shodai24 Yeah, even though i am a HUGE Novak fan i agree with you, Novak just had more luck, some say faith and the reason he prayed in middle of match helped him... but we will never know all we can say for sure is that it was an AMAZING match, real final!

  • @Shodai24 nope. djovokic deserved it all haha

  • @Shodai24 The only people who like you comment are Nadal fans

  • @Shodai24 Yeh I completely disagree. If you look at the statistics, Djokovic dominated every aspect of play, Djokovic had;

    - More winners

    - Less unforced errors

    - Far more break points

    - More total points won

-> The sets that nadal won he sneaked away from Djokovic's paws after Djoko made terrible errors and thats why justice was served in the fifth set. Djokovic pulverised Nadal in the sets he won. There is a god.

  • @Shodai24 no because this isn't women's tennis, it isn't about being nice and playing patty cake

  • Best Moment 2:36

  • Lol, 4:19....

  • compare these highlights to the ones before 2008. the courts have been slowed down IMMENSELY. how can fed, someone over 30, compete with moonballers who are in their physical prime? no matter how hard he hits, they are able to retrieve every ball. fed's talent allows him to beat 99% of players. against the other 1% (djok/nadal) fed will miss first because his ball is flatter and lower over the net. if he hits with topspin, he has now entered a physical game which he cant win because of his age.

  • simply unforgettable

  • Nadal y Djokovic ellos bien.

  • Best Grand Slam final Ever!

  • @davidvilla2122 Nah.. the second and third sets were a little bland.. things only really started cooking mid way on the final set.. Check wimbledon 2008 final.. that is probably the greatest match of all time.

  • I'm so glad Djokovic is there all the time now.. If it wasn't for Djokovic, Nadal would be really really close to Federer's 16 slams, thank you Novak.

  • So disappointing Nadal lost.. I have been watching tennis for years and I never saw anybody wanting so much to win a match, look at 3:38, this moment was really tense ! I really thought he was gonna win but...

  • Novak is the master of tennis, the most complete player ever to play this game. Roger will stay the best ever, not because he's best, but because in his prime from 2004-2007 when he won most of his Slams, he didn't have competition. Novak and Rafa came later, fortunately for Roger. Because of this, he will stay the best ever, not quite fair in my opinion..

  • @pennyboy140294 Federer played 97-5 in 2006 (his prime), Nadal and Djokovic in their best performances didn't even pass 70 matches won, and their bodies were destroyed because of a lack of tennis and having used to much phyisical strenght, now you can tell me how Djokovic is "more" complete than Federer if he doesn't have serve and hits forehands always uncomfortable

  • @Zoso666 97-5, it's an unbeliavable record, but as I said, he didn't have competition. Who could challenge him back then? Roddick, Hewitt, Blake? Not a chance. Nadal was far from his best back then, as I said. He was still improving. Doesn't have serve and forehands?? The serve is great, just listen to the experts. Forehand missing?? He dominated 2011 with his forehand, and it has become his best shot! wtf? Are you 10 year old or something? wtf

  • @pennyboy140294 Roddick was good back then, but Federer was better. You dont have to argue about that. Everyone has there own opinion..

  • @pennyboy140294 When Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, will be 30 years old, do you think that they are still in the top 5? Like a Roger Federer

I think, they are retire before being 30 years old. They escape from the game with the player of the heyday at that time. Nadal's insults comment in Sampras era. arrogant and shame. All the surface is slow. Improvement in the performance of racket. The increase in the weight of a ball etc. time too advantageous to the play style of Djokovic or Nadal now

  • @tennissports1 And how do you know what are and where are they going to be in their 30s? Nobody knows that.

  • @tennissports1 Yes I think Rafa and Novak will be in top 5 at the age of 30. Don't know about Murray, he's too unpredictable. Nadal arrogant??? LOL, if you're a fed fan (guess you are, everyone is it seems) then I don't know what to say. Nadal is the kindest and the best loser of them all, Novak too.

  • @pennyboy140294 Nadal is very humble off the court but on the court he used to come across as arrogant with the excessive fist pumps and muscle shirts. He has toned this down a lot in recent years though as he was trying to get rid of that image.

  • @pennyboy140294 lol. asshole. right. sucks two-year-ranking. selfish player. looks down on Sampras and past players. excuse injury. When lose to Davydenko, Sodering. Melszer. etc. low players. Nadal ezcuse always. injury. sick. tired.. Fake time-out. ugly gamesmanship. too noisy annoying always. most arrogant annoying bklind fans. asshole

  • @overratednadal slow down nadal hater, I can barely read this shit. I have many times said that Nadal and Djokovic are the most respectful players on tour. Nadal doesn't look down on Sampras, he has respect for the past champions. You know as good as me that Nadal has injury problems because of his style of game, but when he loses a match, he doesn't want to use injury as an excuse. What you say is pointless and you are one of very few people that say this bullshit, Btw, I'm not a Nadal fan.

  • @pennyboy140294 I never said his forehand was ineffective, but not AS good as Federer's in his prime, it's the best shot in tennis history, on the other hand, Djokovic always seems to hit it in pain.Talking about serves just will not bring any points to Djoker right? The only better thing Djokovic has over Federer is that backhand.

  • @Zoso666 Sorry, I may have crossed the line, but still I meant most of what I said. Yes, Roger has got a better forehand and a better serve. Still I think Djokovic has a good serve, not the best but good. It lacks some power and a little better placement. Still he hit lots of aces in AO. It is very effective against lefties like Rafa, especially the slice serve outwide. PS: You forgot to mention Novak's return as a weapon, which he perhaps is most feared for.

  • @pennyboy140294 Have to agree with that, Djokovic's return must be one of the best ever

  • Comment removed

  • @pennyboy140294 It's amazing how people think this is a great final just because it lasted 6 hrs, but was like watching a fuckin marathon, both Nadal and Djokovic don't have the skills to finish the point when they have to, they never will, and that's why they got that many injuries by insanely and pointlessly continuing the point. Purely physical tennis is not equal to good tennis, they had taken the sport to the land they like, where technique is not that important

  • @Zoso666 What you say is partly true. Nadal plays a physical game, no doubt about it. Djokovic also, but I would put him between Roger and Rafa when it comes to physical game. Roger finishes points as fast as he can with that bullet of a forehand. Anyway it was a great final, very exciting, not highest level but still 1 of the best finals. So much fighting spirit and heart. PS: When you talk about Rogers agressive game, it doesn't work that well on Novak and Rafa these days..eventhough he's close

  • @Zoso666 Yeah, this final wasn't actually that great and only really got exciting begining mid way in the final game.

  • @pennyboy140294 this choban has no idea, his forehand use to be shaky at times, but times have changed its a weapon know

  • @Zoso666 thats a great point .. wen both rafa and djoko are 30+ they wont be competitive like roger..even though i am a huge rafa fan.. ROGER still the best in history for me..

  • @Zoso666 Ooooooooook. How is it even possible to think that Novak's tennis is based on physical strength? Do you even know how he looks?

  • @Well said. It is so obvious, but Rodger’s fans cannot take it. Just look when Federer plays against Novak or Rafa. Lack of confidence, negativity, etc…

He was so lucky to run for 3-4 years without a strong competition. Unfortunately, Federer still behaves as it is 2007 (media gives him undeserved credit these days) , and still talks that he losses only because he was not playing well ….Or other guys were lucky etc .. Never gives a credit to others… Arrogance is a double edge sword….

  • @mirko59 right. Too old player Davydenko is better then Heyday Nadal

  • @mirko59 Why undeserved? Federer still reaches finals and semi-finals of big tournaments. He's still winning tournaments. He was the only one last year who could challenge Novak at 30 year old age. He is still in the top 3. Hasn't been outside the top 4 in 8 years. Shows that he's still playing well. Mentally and physically not the same as in his prime, but still competitive.

  • I would have liked to see the Backhand Down the Line that Nadal missed on his serve in the fifth set at 4-2, 30-30. That was a pretty important moment that could've possibly allowed Nadal to hold serve to go up 5-2 had he made the shot.

  • wow great match

  • ĐOKOVIĆ IS DOPED SHIT

  • @MarinChilich Fuck you Croat, jeaulous piece of shit

  • @He wipes the court with Marin Chilic playing at 50 %. I know that hurts …

  • so hard to like djokovic...why....:(

  • @andy316800 Why is it hard to like Djokovic? :P

  • 4:19

    WHAT A HEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 4:19 is easily the best moment to pause the video.

  • NOLEX 5:53

  • le ardió hasta el culo a Nadal!

  • If this is a highlights video, why is it not 5 hrs and 53 minutes. The whole thing was epic!

  • finally HD

  • how dare you sum up a SIX HOUR match in FIVE FUCKING MINUTES ??!! :p

  • It´s funny to see that in the end of the last season people were crazy from Roger´s success in Masters and saw him as the Australian Open champion. In the opposite, Rafa was very underrestimated and never expected his success here. After the end of the championships we have to say: Rafa is back! What a shame that he lost 4:2 leading in the fifth set but I think that he is now very self-confident and has smaller fear of Djokovic.

    RAFAEL NADAL=2012 French Open champion!

  • @ddd71556 You fuckin Jewish faggot ! go lick Nadal's ASS .

  • @ 2:36! LOOKS LIKE A COW GETTING MAD!

  • I LOVE TENNIS WITH PLAYERS LIKE THIS ITS BECAME EDGE OF THE SEAT ENTERTAINMENT. CANT WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS YEAR UNFOLDS..

  • @banditjr770

Thanx for the thought, same here. Till summer, we shall celebrate then.

Kudos to Nole he did very amazingly against Rafa.

  • I woke up early and watched the whole thing. Too bad it wasn't Roger!

  • pause at 4:19

  • encouraging two weeks for rafa and his fans. yes, he lost again although djokovic wasn`t at his best. but it seems like the real rafa showed off again. 2011 there was a lack of motivation and passion, the spirit has returned. when he continues that way he will have a great season.

i think rafa and nole will split the 4 slams this year, each one takes two.

  • @Wed85 I think there hasnt been a more competitive rafa than in the US Open final and that too was a comfortable victory fo Nole.

  • did anybody see Vlady Divac in the crowd or was it just me??

  • @neoides yeah its him.he is now president of the serbian olympic committee.ofc we all remember him from the kings-divac,stojakovic,c web, doug christie ....good team

  • @neoides you did see him, he is the president of the National Olympic comitee of Serbia ;)

  • @neoides yes nobody else asked the question it was obvious for us.

  • @neoides Yep,he was in Djokovic boot.

  • PLEASE: novak has 50% the tecnique that Roger had in his great moments!!

Federer is and always be THE best player in the history of tennis

  • @jotogaba that's the reason why Roger won his last Grand Slam match against Nadal in 2007! And that's also the reason why Roger won his last GS since 2 years ago! I mean, RF is the best player ever... but the best player now is Nole, be sure! ;)

  • @BizzyGeneration we can not know for sure how many slams will rafa win until he retires.that includes novak also.imagine rafa won last 3 finals against nole,he would be on 13 slams and he is much younger than roger

  • @ljubaa93 imagine fed could have handled rafa like everyone else, he would be colse to 25 slams... too many if`s etc.

i don`t think rafa will catch fed`s 16, but i don`t think he needs to. he`s already a legend and has nothing to prove. hand`s down, he`s one of the top 5 ever.

he has 2-3 good years left, i think he can reach 14, which would put him in great place in history.

  • @Wed85 you mean to handle rafa like novak?cuz no1 else can.i agree that rafa is already a legend cuz he have 10 slams and he holds the masters record.he is the best clay player no doubt.but he deserves 16 slams cuz he have beaten rf so many times.forehand top top spin > one hand backhand.thats why roger cant handle him.also he lost to rafa so many times on clay so rafa got in his head.we will se where novak fits.think he will get 10 slams.i respect them all.we witness a golden tennis era

  • @ljubaa93 i also think rafa would deserve to catch feds 16, but you gotta be realistic. he won`t have the time to win 6 more. i hope he will reach sampras` 14.

i don`t think rafa will have as much mental problems with novak as fed had/has with rafa, because in terms of fighting spirit and mental toughness he is a way superior player than fed.

  • @Wed85. Nothing is impossible, no one though nadal could win wimbeldon or any hard court turnoment.. and he proved everyone wrong.. so for him reaching 16-17 grand slams is not impossible. it all depends on him.

  • @DonChilenito as a fan i wish he`d do it, but it will all depend on his health. how long can he play on this level? 2 more years? 4 more years?

but you are right, what he did throughout his career is prove his doubters wrong and i`m sure he will come up with an answer for the djoker-riddle, he always does.

  • @That is ridicules. Mat Vilander says that Federer today is MUCH better than Federer from 2007...

  • @mirko59 Wilander has a big history of saying stupid things (like Nadal being better than Fed), just don't pay attention to him

  • 2:36 lets do it togather

  • This match compares very favourably indeed with the women's final which was equally exciting with both players fighting for every single point in a very long and dramatic battle of wits, subtlety and power. It's especially comforting to know that the similarity in quality between the matches is also recognised in equal prize money.

  • @123jovaaNaa yea, what he said!

  • The final speech was the best moment - seeing both guys just about to faint during the looong speeches just shows how exhausting they were. Eventually they both were given chairs. At the very ending of the speeches :D

  • 4:48 is that vlade divac??

  • @gt3kwoj yes :)

  • @gt3kwoj

    It is Vlade Divac.

  • this highlights video doesn't show Nadal's great shots in the match .. shows only Nole's ... but it was a great match .. i wanted Nadal to win though :)

  • sdfffffsdfsaf

  • What a match that was! Both players played spectacular especially in the crucial points. I thought it was already over in the 4th set tiebreak but Nadal played some brilliant counter punching to claim the set. He had a slight opportunity for a 5-2 lead but Djokovic played unreal tennis, so many amazing long rallies that went his way and was fortunate to win 7-5 :)

  • why do they call it the longest GS...we all know both of them take ages in between points.

  • batalla epica

  • Just an amazing match. These two are remarkable athletes.

  • Is that why Federer wasn't in the final??? cause he is the best???? NOT TODAY lol

  • unnnnnnhhh..... uaheeeeee

    unnnnnnhhh..... uaheeeeee

    unnnnnnhhh..... uaheeeeee

  • after seeing this final i think if Nadal optimisez little is detailes in his game like serving or agresivity he will rule this year

  • guys guys.. cant we all get along? who cares whose better, Novak..Nadal...their both great tennis players, and plus we all know FEDERER IS DA BEST! SCREW YOU ALL.

  • @PatisauR FEDERER ''WAS'' THE BEST! It's past time my mate, you have to admit :)

  • bhhhh

  • Srbija..:)

  • left hanging at 4:45 haha

  • @bcgal0004 what do you mean?

  • Novak!!!

  • I've never seen such fighting spirit and will by any player in any sports as shown by Rafa :) My respect for him has grown even more.

  • Djoko, you're fire dud.

Federer is best oh all time yet, i you will be able to continuous your moment, who knows, someday, after 250weeks of number 1, you can be better than Federer, you desirve this moment dud, congrats!

  • @Vicenterpp LOL if Federed had even 1/2 of the competition that Novak has today he wouldnt last 20 weeks as number 1.

  • @ViDiMoSeSiNe311 So agreed...imagine if Rafa And Nole had been born 2 or 3 years closer to Roger.Fed took over from #1s like Roddick(easy matchup)Safin(mentally weak) and Hewitt.(physically weak)Those three won a combined 5 majors. 2004-07 was pretty easy for him.

  • what can i say but 'happy to be alive'. thanks..

  • There's nothing spectacular about djokovic's plays. He just plays smart tennis. When he saw an opening he went for it, while others like federer tried to avoid nadal's forehand and thinks too much. Sure u cant hit winners every time but it creates openings for them. federer could have beaten nadal if he just plays smart. :( Tell him to try that Paul.

  • 厉害

  • Oooo come on, I can understand that people don't like him because he gave up some matches in the past with health issue excuse, but he's not pretentious. We Serbs, we show openly show our emotions but we are woriors, too. Novak never said anything bad for his opponents, as a matter of fact he always gives them honor and admire. And when he ripped the shirt, it didn't look like he planed to make that move to pose it was more like..ooo finally this match is over, I won, I'm happy and sick of shirt

  • i hate nadal

  • @davidkim9304 ME TOO

  • love you Novak!

  • 3:47 "fuck!"

  • One of the best finals ever in a Grand Slam! :)

  • you see novak's sirl? she's a hottie

  • Nadal ftw
