The makers of R4 were fined by Nintendo a few weeks ago in Australia. Funny thing is, they must have some garbage lawyers to be loseing to nintendo. They could argue that the flash carts were made for homebrew purposes and that they do not condone pirateing games. Whats next? Will they start sueing Memorex because their CDs can be used to pirate games as well??

Can some one inform me what is a good flash drive I can use to "back up" my DS games. And on top of that, can you please tell me where I would be able to buy one?

Be a shame if any action taken messes things up for the homebrew scene. Some cool things happening on there. With some of the crap that's officially released for the DS it's a wonder a company hasn't picked up on things like Animanatee, Colours, DS organize etc.
This is no different than the time Nintendo battled the console disk back-up systems for the Super Nintendo and Famicom. Nintendo won some battles but new and improved back-up systems kept springing up from Hong Kong and wherever else. I wouldn't worry too much about the flash rom DS brands going away for good. There's bound to be a replacement of the R4 should they lose.
DO NOT BUY the R4 yet if you are planing on buying one. The price dropped because of this suing. This could be bad cuz nintendo might put an end to applications and downloading games for the R4.
thats horrible! but R4 could just say that they only encourage people to use them to put on games that they already had right? so i doubt they'll lose, but i dont no too much about laws

no, since Nintendo is not retarded they did not add a feature so that you can load up ds games through the sd card slot. ;)
