From recital around the end of her great career.Ok,it's transposed,ok she was Mimì.....but the voice ever firml,beautiful.

She was an outstanding Mimi--one of the greatest. This is a 1976 Musetta in recital, at the end of a glorious career, so cut the great lady some slack. It's wonderful to hear her undertake something out of her rep. for a change, and when she does, though the results may not be ideal, there is always much virtue in it. Just listen to her delightful phrasing, if nothing else.

@callastoujours Yes, at 54 years old she transposed this aria, as Callas trasposed in her last concert in 1973 at 50 years old, arias as Suicidio from La Gioconda......
