    i hope you recovered fully

  • @alifareh1 Hey there :) In my 4th yr with BP - it's my lower lip side actually. I used to think the same way about pictures but now, I just think: "Whatever.. this is me now and I love it :)"

  • Your videos are great. It helped me out in seeing how you progressed. It helped me out so much.

  • I've had Bell's Palsy for the last 3 weeks and it is now going away. I think I'm lucky, but this is the 2nd time I have got it. This time it was terribly painful on the paralyed side. I took aclyvar and prednizone and I think it helped a lot. Also, my hearing has been very sensitive on the paralyzed side and everything is so loud! I can't wait for it to go away completely.

  • ty u so much for your vids. dunno if tthis worked or just concidence. i massaged my face one day and it improved the next. massage where it hurts to get the blood flowing. Ive been told i give good massages finally it came in handly for me. im glad u are better. but id thought id share this. i can make a crooked smile now.. as opposed to a half smile. :)

  • Can't tell you how much your posts have helped. I am 10 months into it - I think we are on about the same time frame and recovery rate. Your positive outlook has helped me to remain so. I am pretty shy and would make a you tube video, so thanks and keep us updated on your progress. I am very grateful for all your videos.

  • i have bells palsy at the moment i just got it 5 days ago. I look pretty much like you, my eye is the only thing that looks effected, i never got the droopy lip, thank god! But my tongue feels numb. I hope i will recover soon. Where you prescribed any steroids?

  • i need to get a positive outlook like you, im so negative :(

  • i had bells palsy and im only 12 >.>. so gay. but i recoverd in about 5 months and i had to take steroids and some other sh!t. but the reson i got it was because i had gotten herpies virus.(not genital) and herpies virus wekens your immune system.

  • ..Wait...It does'nt look like you have bells palsy

  • did u loose taste on half of your tongue?? i did lol weird!

  • Yup I did :D

  • i have not been diagnosed with BP yet, but i'm quiet sure i have it. its been 4 day's now and i'm so scared i will not recover. i just turned 39 and i feel like i am aging way to fast. never been ill so i am having a real difficult time with this. does anyone have short term memory loss, or any difficulties using their fingers? please let me know anything to ease my mind till my MRI appt next week!!!!! :(

  • Thanks for the post,

I got BP 4 days ago. I wish I could rest, but no luck thus far.

  • missiefromcincy Great funny it helps so much to see people recovering!!!I have had it 4x. I am tired 4 days into the 4th time having it. thanks

  • WOw you are one strong woman i love your attitued!! Umm im very thankful that your recovering!!! God bless your soul!!!<3333

  • I'm glad you're better. One of my friends mom had Bell's Palsy and it was really bad but after a few months she got better. I don't know if it's completely healed or gotten better, but I'm glad you are better than you were before.

  • WOW!!! THATS GREAT!!!!

  • I still have a residual after 17 yrs. Great video. My suggestion, do physio twice a week. Also do excercises in front of a mirror. Do the alphabet and especially vowels, enunciate. Do smiles, snerk, snarles, frowns etc. Drops in eye and patch at night very imp. 7th cranial nerve grows back 1/16th inch per day to recover. u can email me. Good luck.

  • Hi, I've had Bell's Palsy now for about three years. It has slowly improved to the point where it is not too bad, but the muscles still ache.

I don't often drink much alcohol these days, but had a small amount over Christmas. It helped to soothe the facial muscles. I now look more symmetrical than before Christmas. I'm not suggesting alcohol is a cure (!!), but it seemed to help the muscles relax and stay relaxed. Hope this is helpful.

  • That's interesting to hear 'cuz me, in my case, when I drink alcohol it gets too relax and I loose motion :) It looks stiffer. But it gets back a'ight the next day ^_^

  • This is good to see that other people are goin through the same thing. It's been over a week for me,I had a facial injury and loss feelin on my face on the right side which goes down to my upper teeth(weird) but I hope to recover soon cuz my spirits are weakening! :(

  • Thank you for the upload and im really glad you are recovering very well.

  • Hey! great video. the word you were looking for, (where you want to move one muscle and other muscles mmove) is synkenisis :). have had bells for 11 yrs now. the exercises i got from the physiotherapist, i was told that they can be used up to 10 yrs.

  • Hi got bells palsy from cracking my jaw which was a habit got numb feeling in my face then onset of palsy. Was this the same as yours? Now at 101 days seem to be matching your past recovery, except when trying to close eye get mild spasms buy mouth did you get residuals at 106 as I have been using a tes machine last two weeks. Keep looking at your new videos for signs although sky dive vid looked like you had bad one ;-)

  • I wasn't able to crack my jaw before. Now I can but reading you, I'll stop. At least in the skydiving vid both sides of my face are equal in movement :))

  • i have forever bells paisy since 2003 , i wanna get quirurgic intervention,

  • I was diagnosed with bells palsy on 3 days ago. It sucks 'cause I haven't been able to eat and I haven't been able to drink out of a cup or bottle. My doctor said it should clear up in a few weeks. I sure hope he is right.

  • i am happy for you that u recover somehow. i am 18 years old and i want to ask if i do still have chance to recover without medecine?

  • hi how are you doing now? is yours bells palsy done now?... how long u have it? coz me i still have it for 3months/20 days with no medical.... can any body tell me? i am 18 years old....

  • Hi, I was diaagnosed yesterday. I appreciated your video - thanks. Good info. I hate it that everything tastes wierd. Take care.

  • OMG i just found out yesteray that I got this weird thing. I am a obese man so when my Mouth started to droop and my Eye wouldnt shut right. The firt thing i thought was that I HAD A STROKE. thank god that I didnt. But this is still new to me and very scary. So if you could maybe message me and let me know what all to expect in the coming weeks and months. Thank you very much for posting a video

  • I can sympatize with the STRoke thing. When I got in to the emergency - they freak out at my face and gave me an electro-cardiogram right away :))

  • Thanks for righting. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. Mine cleared up completely in 2 and a half weeks. I was woried that i would never get over it. But my Doctor put me on a high dosage of steroids and another pill called acyclovir as well as i had to keep using eye drops to moisen my eyes. I did by a Eye patch. That did help. But i am completly over it now. THANK THE LORD

  • hi redneckgodfather i just want to ask something i hope ul rply, i have a bells palsy 3months/20 days.i just want to ask if that medecine is good for me i am 18 years old from phil. thank you

  • you mean prednisone and acyclovir ?

  • HiHi, do you think taking medications will help better? I just don't feel happy taking..steroids..

  • i diagnosed with bells palsy on the 18/12/06 and on the 04/09/07 it has got better but my right eye is not 100% and the right of my mouth still does not raise fully when i smile. but to all the people who get diagnosed with it hang in there, belive me you are not alone and time is a healer. i have done alot of reserch and it is connected to stress.

  • Your videos are frank, informative, and touching. They are the most humanitarian I have seen. Almost anyone can get Bell's Palsy and I am full of compassion and understanding for those who have it. Thank you.

  • Great video, I was diagnosed yesterday

  • wow mine is faint like urs but id had it for 5 years i hope u recover :( id post a video but no cam

  • Other therapies that may be useful for some individuals include relaxation techniques, acupuncture, electrical stimulation, biofeedback training, and vitamin therapy (including vitamin B12, B6, and zinc), which may help nerve growth

  • hello weloveaz,,, thanks for the information i was researching for the interenet about bell's pallsy coz i have it. i cant get to doctors so i decide o search...

  • Hi, I wish u best recovery. How are u with bells palsy now? Have u got more improvments? Take care

  • My doctor told me it might be related to worts. And I got a bunch. So, people take care of all kinds of warts right away.

  • Your doctor might be right also. That's the thing with Bell's Palsy - there is no precise cause for it. Bell's Palsy is damage/trauma to the 7th cranial nerve. So that damage/trauma may be cause by several different reasons. That's why it's as individual for each person. In my case, was cause by minor lower jaw dislocation.
