When I first saw this before listening to it, I thought it would be a female version of "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" by The Ramones. I like it, but it isn't that song obviously.
This is a cover of the Rubinoo's original song, and shows the exquisite musical taste of the 2 talented singers in Lush.
As to Avril whatever stealing her song from this, you have to draw your own conclusions...she is obviously very weak musically when compared to either Lush or the Rubinoos, that can't be argued...
It was most likely recorded in 1995 or 1996 during Lovelife. It came out first on the Ladykillers 7" as a B-side in 1996 and then on the Topolino CD in 1997.
