Good to see this video is still online. I'm the one who edited this together originally. My old account got deleted due to copyright. This is also linked via Cannon & Ball's official website too. Rock on. You'll do for me cocker!
Qulity film with a cracking st I HAVE RECNENTLY UPLOADED THE b side o the 7" record of this song Titled Big Star both good songs. shame the didnt release more. Gaz
I remember seeing this film on a Saturday afternoon on Granada in 1993. I remember being hooked on this music and I knew of Cannon & Ball but I was a bit too young to recognise other stars of this film such as Eric Sykes and Jon Pertwee but I did recognise Roy Kinnear from Willy Wonka.
Despite it being rated 4 out of 10 on internet movie database, I believe this might be one of the greatest films ever made. It is pure comedy, and the music is excellent too. Unlike some reviewers, from what I have seen this is not a complete rip-off of Ask A Policeman. There are some plot twists that the 1939 film did not explore, and it is just nice to see how the old story would play out in a film made about 50 years later.
@VinylLad I could not agree more. I have always found the theme music to the film, whether the instrumental version or end credit version with lyrics very uplifting. I can remember them both performing it on their TV show at the time the film was released saying it was available in record shops but I never found a copy. There was also talk at the time of them collaborating with Val Guest on another remake of a Will Hay film Where's That Fire?
Great film
Love it

Not just loosely based, it follows Ask a Policeman in great detail for most of its length.
Slated by critics but fairly funny.
Worth watching just to see Suzanne Danielle.
