Yep. They are back in production again now. You can order them brand new starting from about 3200 pounds. Works out to be about $5K.

Still expensive, but at least you don't need to hunt around for them anymore!

i started off on guitar and thought it was much easier,especially since you dont have to hold down the notes as hard as you would on the bass and its always easier to play a lead than hold a rhythm

Thanks for the video! Geddy Lee and Chris Squire are the 2 best bass players in rock history. And, the most underrated bass player ever-Duran Duran's John Taylor. Yes, he was a prettyboy, but that dude could play! His playing in "Rio" is classic, and his groove in "Notorious" is an all-time-great funk-bass groove. Who agrees with all of this?

Always glad to see a mention of Roxy, but your timeline doesn't work. Same Old Scene was released in 1980 (Flesh + Blood LP), which must have been what...3-4 years prior to The Reflex? Roxy went through bass players regularly, none as good as JT. (The real link between Roxy and D2 would be the attention to "look"...specifically, Antony Price.)
