Can I just say that it is noble that Senator Sanders is working to engage young people to participate in the Democracy? Love his politics or hate them, we need civic-ally mind young people. I didn't get into politics until my senior year.

@yoransom It did not cost anything, as Sanders just supported a competition that the schools themselves set up, people will do things without it costing Federal money, other than phonecalls, simply for the honor of submitting an essay to a US Senator who is showing an interest in what young people think
@St4rwats The job of congress is to focus on changing the laws of this country to support freedom not do pointless bullshit like this; I like Sanders on some issues, but this type of shit along with other pointless congressional endeavors are so dumb
@yoransom: You miss the point. He is trying to get young people involved. doing an essay of this kind requires research and thinking about the subject. Most of my daugher's friends know little about politics.
