Mello is an F instrument compared to the rest of the brass, in Bb. Besides that fact, Sam's tuning slide doesn't move, so he's always out of tune, and for some reason, it's not important to him to fix it.

ha, its great watching both the directors try to BS stuff on the spot.... you can tell they don't wanna be in front of the camera at this time of the day or something.

And why is it the folks that are out of tune (typically the mellos, both groups) keep getting picked up so well by the mic.... clueless...all of them.... *sigh* .....horns....

Heh, yeah, I'm aware of the reason, I didn't phrase my question well enough (lack of sleep + posting online == fail)... was more trying to drop a hint, because they never FIX IT!! =^) And the result is you get put online at some point and need to know you're the reason the group isn't sounding as good as they usually do or should... I've been on my soap box too many years though, so I'm trying to not be so verbal about it anymore.

@dundadathunda You can't always get equal time in a basketball game. He must have caught us at a bad time; I can't remember exactly when it was that he came over.
