My baby sister was with TOF and absent vaulve.. the day she was born she was not given any hopes of survival since she also had hard time breathing. she was put on ECMO, she was was born march 2011, she is now 3 1/2 mts. she had 1 emergency heart surg. for bleeding and now we are waiting for her other surgerys... we just hope everything comes out ok...

Why in the world would you use circulatory arrest for this operation?

In my opinion, this is completely unnecessary, and exposes the child to serious risk of brain injury. The operation can easily be performed with bicaval cannulation and continuous brain circulation. Please defend your choice of circulatory arrest for an operation that doesn't even involve the arch vessels.
