Hi madhura, a healthy recipe...very innovative you are..please upload more recipes like this...gonna try for this weekend...thanx a lots...god bless...
hi , i tried ur recipies and it all turned out great... needed to ask u one thing that can we stuff this puffs in morning and keep it in fridge and bake it in the evening at the time of party... or if not then what is ur suggestion??? is it ok if we bake it ahead of time and reheat in the microwave at the time of serving to guests,... suggestions please????
yes absolutely, you can do like that. The only thing that you need to make sure is stuffing is little dry or it does not have any moisture in it. You can also bake it ahead of time and just warm it up before serving. Thanks for asking :D
hi, very nice recipie.. wanted to ask u that can we use grated cheese in the stuffing that will make cheese vegetable puff... and also do we have to apply some oil or butter on the puffs while baking.....did u greased the tray before putting the puffs in the tray....
wow cheese puffs, great idea. Yes you can stuff with cheese but try to use thick shredded mozzarella cheese, so that it would not burn when its baked. You need to grease baking tray, no need to brush pastry sheets with oil, as it starts to loose oil itself as it gets baked. Thanks for asking :D
I used indo-european puff pastry square sheet, I got it from Indian store from Fozen food section - as you mention in your video! My wife had made some batata wada other day and we had some left-over stuffing! We used it for stuffing! Followed your instructions, and turned out to be so good! My son who ate veg. puffs for the first time.... said " This is out of the world kind of snack" and This is the fourh time we will be making it for him!
Thanks for sharing and feedback. Its really a brilliant idea to use leftover sabzis to make veg puffs. I am really happy that you enjoy these recipes. Thanks, keep watching :)
Hi Madhura ji! First of all I really want to complement you for your delicious recipies! I just wanted to ask if we can juse a malaysian paratha or can we just any kind of freezed paratha?and what is the black souce you jused while stuffing the puffs? Thanks!
Thank and sorry for late reply. If frozen paratha is not available you can make use of puff pastry sheets, you will find it easily at any local store. Thanks for appreciation :)
You can also use collard or mustard greens or Swiss chard in place of spinach. I love them all. The use of lemon juice is brilliant! Lemon brings out the flavor of the spices and you don't need to use a lot of salt. We don't have Indian food here, what can I use instead of the parantha? I would love to make this. Thank you.
Hi Madhura,Love your recipes.Do you think one can make these also out of flour tortillas?,since those are readily available at regular grocery stores.
hmmm I have never made Veg Puffs using tortillas. With tortilla we won't get layers that we get when we use Malaysian Paratha or Puff Pastry sheets. You may give it a try and let me know :-)
Thanks a lot. Good to see you after a long time :-) For my Oven it has a indicator that shows Oven is preheated, but normally it gets done within 10 mts...
:-) thanks so much Madhura... ok.. i had this doubt coz my oven light [indicator] didnt get off even after 10 mins while i had set it for 425 F.. may be this oven is old..
i watch all your veg recipes.. they are awesome.. eager to see more.....

i am looking every where for pastry shit but cant find it any where :(
jamaq 6 months ago
@jamaq,
Ideally you should get Pastry sheet in any regular super market like Publix, Jewel Osco, Dominic etc. You can ask associate to find it for you.
Alternate option is to find Malaysian / malbar / kerala paratha in any Indian grocery store. Check frozen section for this. Thanks and all the best.
