  • @lillia09 I have read that they do numb you for this procedure, but you will have pain and possibly bruising on your feet. I went through what you are going through and I have to say that it was very hard. I can help you with some tips and tricks if you want, just send me a note.

  • Botox is some sort of poison.. You dont have to agree with me ok?

I would never let botox to come in my body..

There must be another way agains sweat

    There IS another way

  • For all the people emailing me asking about the pain related to this procedure. It is very similar to when you get a normal needle you have that small amount of tenderness that just feels like a bruise basicly. The injections themselves are fast each hand should take approx. 5 mins and they use a very small needle that barley goes into your skin. My doctor also froze my hands before the injections so I could barley feel a thing. After the injections I had bruising for about 3-4 and thats it!

  • I've been sweating like a rapist for 30 yrs, and it's really depressing.. Things you can't do: 1.Dancing - I used to dance with girls, until one night I ran my fingers through my hair, and my date reminded me that she'd already showered this evening!!! 2. Have sex - If you're a guy, then you're prob. on top... Well, I just hope she like being dripped on.

    3. Work in McDonalds: The sweat used to easily break through my paper hat, run down my face and drip on to the meat. "Salt on that, right!"

  • i also have this kind of condition.. im 22 years old, i sweat too much on my hands and feet but few on the armpit.. this pain coz me to be always broken hearted because im shy to hold someones hands and theyre easily annoyed with my sweaty hands.. i dont know how to cure this sometimes i think of not to get socialize with other people

  • i have this condition but i am getting botox ina coouple of weeks i am only 12 and have had this for about 4 years and its really getting out of hand. i have it on my feet, hands and under my arms. its really embarrasing! im glad to see that there is other people who suffer from it too (not in a bad way) because i thought i was the only one. i have tried every option apart from the botox and the surgery the iontophesis didn't make any difference at all and i have tried all the powders and creams

  • Dont you think its a bit early for u to do this because ur so young. (12 years)

I am 16 years old and had this problem for years but every doctor I went still says that u r to young for any type of operation or treatment, they just gave me driclor to put on my hands and feet. Anyway all up to you but I think u should wait till ur a bit older :):)

  • same here. i am 16 and i cant get any operation just because i am too young. DAMN IT! I can't play guitar because of it... HOW MUCH MORE DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER?

  • Lol oh well I guess we have to live with it, :( U know when ppl just comes up to u and wants to shake ur hands omg, I have to wipe my hand on myself first lool :D

  • the worst thing is that you never get it dried.

  • Climbing chalk and take up the drums.

  • Hey 93 Nazar. A lot of doctors don't understand or have even heard of it. Be assertive. I get it and it's great. If they are discouraging you for a specific reason such as it may retard growth then fine. My feeling is they don't know a lot about the procedure.

  • it will come back though, im happy that you at least do consider surgery being the result of this

  • Talk to others who've has surgery. Find out about compensatory sweating. It sux.

  • I started to sweat when I was 4. Now I am 31. Try to live it. Mine is like water dripping 24 hours, non stop. So try to deal with it. There are thousands people like you.

  • Hey Buddy, don't wait. I'm 31 and have only started having Botox for about 5 years and it's fantastic. I only get it on my hands. I'd love to get it on my feet as well but I get it as a trial for free. If anyone lives in Australia chase it up through John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

  • i have the worst hh ever. does this really cure your hand and for how long

  • not feet*

  • Just had this done 3 days ago, allready expiriencing reduced sweating by 80-90%, also reduced the redness of the hands due to the decreased anxiety. Is not nearly as painful as it looks I did not use any ice or anasthetic and I found it to be extremley bareable. The needles are small and the procedure is quite quick (approx 5 mins per hand) message me with questions if you have them. Strongly recommended by a person who has just had the procedure (for my hands however now feet)

  • Hi, i have crazy sweaty palms, feet, and underarms. I wanted to know how much botox cost?

  • does the botox procedure hurt your hand because basketball season is coming up and i want this done now

  • If you live in north america the procedure is likley quite different then the one in this vid mine was only a thin needle, you will have some pain in your hands afterwords but its not that bad and disapears within a week tops and i stress again I personally found the more like stiffness extremley bareable.

  • was it worth it

  • DEFFINATLEY, i say that in caps because I have had amazing results from botox without any side effects what so ever accept perhaps mild discomfort in the hands for 3-5 days after the procedure. I just had the injections done for the second time and I would say my sweating has reduced by roughly 90% you still get "clammy" from time to time but it is remarkably more liveable then before I would and do strongly reccomend this procedure to anyone with hyperhydrosis.

  • Also on the note of how long it lasts, while the botox primarily will work for 6-7 months at its best it wares of very slowly and would provide some sort of relief in my opinion for up to about 10 months- a year

  • thankyou very much

  • man i just had my botox today, and i live in sweden and luckily we still alow this procedure but the ETS is totally banned and thats the ONly permanent solution for it due to side effects..i jcant actually count how many ijections i had on both hands..and they are done through tiny needles..but after the treatment my hands still sweat but i would say and i hope it will disappear in a week or so..amazingly here in sweden is not that expensive cos the govnt is paying most of it..

  • The first time I had the proocedure it took approximatley 4-7 days for the effects to start. I did not notice anything till atleast day 4. Dont get discouraged many people including myself have had fantastic results with botox. I would say my hands are only marginly sweatier then an average humans now :)

  • yah man its just been 3 days and my hands are now totally dry im so happy that i got away from it and now its time for change..i actually play piano classic ones but this one is really pushiing me away from it and im scared to loose my only talent..to all people who are still havent find their solutions dont loose your hope bros if not today theres still tomorrow..and if i will meet any one having this i would be hes number one friend..

  • Yes botox is very effective, I have heard alot of people say it does not work but i strongly disagree. If your dermatolagist knows what they are doing the results should be quite profound, or atleast they were in my case with a reduction by atleast 90% i can actually write by hand for an entire class now and feel very comfterable. They still get clammy from time to time but to be honest whos hands dont?

  • It does hurt but I only had discomfort the first time I had the injections and it wasnt that bad, mild bruising etc. You might have to relax on the sports for acuople days but I stress the pain is not that bad at all, and disapears very quickly you could likley just keep playing with a small amount of discomfert for acouple days.

  • @Couttzba how extreme is your sweat in hands?did you get any side effects after this procedure?

  • hi m also facing the samw disese ,plz help me .

  • doesn't this hurt?? it looks so painful =S

  • This procedure does work really well, but it was so expensive for me because my insurance didn't cover it. They said it was "cosmetic." Is that some BS or what?? I paid $800 every 6 months until i got the surgery.

  • what is ur insurance company? mine is Blue Cross and according to them this procedure is necessary for this condition so they would cover it. and is $800 what you paid for the whole procedure?

  • Mine was Blue Cross/Blue Shield at the time (that was 5 years ago) and they said they wouldn't cover it. So i wrote a long letter to the insurance company explaining how Botox for hyperhidrosis is not cosmetic and that it was ruining my life. My doctor from the U of M also wrote a letter explaining that the procedure was not cosmetic. But if insurance is now covering the procedure, i would love to have it in my feet since the surgery didn't really help that.

  • you got the ETS surgery done? any compensatory sweating? and yeah BCBS sent me their policy regarding Botox injections and it says that they cover for focal hyperhidrosis (sweating in local areas like hands and feet). so you paid $800 cash for your Botox?

  • The surgery worked great for my hands. But i do have compensatory sweating. I take robinul and Xanax to help control it (since anxiety makes the sweating worse, and sweating makes the anxiety worse). When i was doing the Botox in my hands prior to the surgery, it was $800 out of pocket each time (approx every 6 months or when i could feel it starting to wear off). I did that for about two years and decided that was crazy expensive so i decided to go ahead with the surgery.

  • why would they give anesthesia for shots? youll feel a pinch.. just like any other shot..

  • someone told me that it doesn't hurt, because before the botox injections the doctor injects anesthesia.

  • what is thath gun for?

  • I've Heard This Is Painful... And It Looks It! :S
