So, Car Park is the closest thing to store car collection.

im not suprised with the 800 sq ft statement, an apartment close to mine in mid levels where most unit are around 1000 sq ft, i see tonnes of supercars, s classes around cus alot of them are probably young professionals and 1000 sf for one person or a couple is plenty

because a house in hk with a garage that fits that many cars would cost upwards of $40 million HKD at least. a lot of people live in 800 sq ft apartments in hk but drive ferraris.

$8000 hkd per sq feet? yeah if you live in wanchai. most of the people who roll around in ferraris live in mid levels, peak, repulse bay, or deep water bay. you couldn't find an apt there for 8000$/ sq foot if your life depended on it. and even if you go to Kau To Shan you can't find anything that cheap. hear about the duplex in midlevels that was sold for HK$71,280/ sq foot back in mid october? go read the papers dude.

Let's entertain your idea for a bit. I recently checked prices on Robinson Road in mid-levels. It costs around $10,000 per sq ft. An 800 sq ft apartment would cost 8M HKD. 3 million dollars for a car is still almost 40% of the value of the apartment. Not to mention maintenance, additional parking spaces (it's impractical to own a ferrari for everyday drive) and depreciation. There's just no way that many people in Hong Kong that can make that money, would make such terrible financial decisions.
