I just attended Maestro's Shin's Van Cliburn concert on this magnificent instrument earlier this evening. Spectacular performance! Dallas-Fort Worth has been blessed to have such a talented musician for the past six years.
I hear the influence of Widor in this, particulary towards the beginning there is a pedal part very reminiscent of a similar device used in the 'Allegro' from Widor's 6th Symphony.

@4candles Yes, it's in the 1st variation after the exposition of the theme, starts at about 2:05! Sort of moto perpetuo...

Great to hear the Casavant agian. Went there awhile back on an Organ Crawl, and got to play on it. Quite a reach for the 5th Mannule, but love it.

Whoa... been playing the pipe organ since I was 8, listening to this type of music even longer and I have never heard this piece before! Neat song!

Fabulous! This is a piece often forgotten among American organists. Yet Bonnet wielded great influence here at the beginning of the 20th century.
