So have you done sound analysis on PC with sonia library in Processing and according to the result output lighting pattern with Arduino via serial communication?
I'm now trying to make some gadget using arduino with processing, but I worried about speed of response from input to output via serial connection including PC.
Your demonstration seems having no severe time delay. That made me confident to try Arduino + Processing.
Ping pong balls with holes in the bottom make good diffusers.
