  • Couldn't recognize Avalon without the head. Jazz allows turning things into whatever people (who play) like. Could be anything else and that's probably a part of the fun.

  • Allan Vache is one of my favourite jazz clarinetists and perhaps one of the best around today. His control of the altissimo register is amazing...it makes the hair stand uo on the back of my neck. I think his solos are brilliant and IMO he pushes the envelope beyond Benny! I would love to see/hear Allan and Bernard Berkhout from the Netherlands play together. That would be a blast!
