I just bought a Citroen C5 tour 2.0 Dielsel

This is just an awsome car...got the hydraulic suspention "ofcause" and it really rocks..I can drive with Comfort, or press the Sport suspention if I want to.

The fell in this citroen is much more firm, than any othe rCitroen Ive had, or tried.

And it looks really good

Or that VW/Audi/BMW 3 that has worn suspension parts at just 100k. My reliable old French car has proven that it didn't need such repairs before 250k.

i would say that citroen is better than peugeot. there are more repair costs with citroens because they have hydraulic suspention and that costs some money but you get a ride that no car has. yes PSA diesel engines are very good but i still think german diesels ar still a bit more realible. i have a xantia 2.0 HDI and it is a good car and the engine is good too. it has around 103000 KM in it right now atleaset it says so because its a secondhand car... well you never know.

@chris25fr i agree, i ve been watching many tests on this car and everybody was like well there are too many buttons. but of course if you sit there for a couple of hours you can t get used to it. i like that idea heaving everything on the steering and if you own this car you get used to every button position and you doon need to push same button to get to the submenu with another will and another button and still concentrating on driving...i want this car! but waiting what new 508 is about

@2741718 I dunno upon whizh facts your comment is based but as the owner of a 207 since May 2008, and as a former assistant sales representative of Citroen, i would say all u wrote for peugeot is the truth about citroen.... coz my mom has had 3 C5 so far, my father owns a C4 Coupe n my grandmother owns a C3... All of us see the difference between citroen n peugeot... Citroen's weapon is now the new C5... I like Citroens but they r not better than Peugeots, no way!!

Sure basically Citroens are not better than Peugeots....cause underneath they are the same: same engines, same chassis...but the work that Citreon does with their cars beyond that is far better than peugeot...it looks better with better interior quality...but the truth is that citreon is at the same crappy level as the peugeot....as a result they are the same shit with different interfaces!

I find it a bit disappointing that they have "Not a German Driving Machine" as a bad point.

I bought the C5 because it looks better and is more comfortable than the German rivals - and it has the French styling which I believe is the best around at the moment.

If I wanted a German Driving Machine I would have done like everyone else seems to do - and bought the Passat.

But I didn't. I wanted a French car - which this is. Is that such a bad thing? I'd say NO to that. I love the C5.

Such a shame they use such a small engine in this road test. I respect MSN tests; but pay a little more tax and you have a fabulous car. It is a very solidly built and comfortable car. It needs the right engine!!

I found a video on Google in French. Domagoj Dukec designed both the C5 saloon and tourer. He deserves a lot of credit. The C5 is such a beautiful car.

Of course I tremendoudly respect Mercedes,BMW,Audi and Lexus; but believe me,this Citroen C5 is an outstanding car.The most beautiful on the road!! I know somebody who has had the C5 for over a year and done big milleage towing caravans. He has never had any trouble at all with the car. Total reliability in his case.

One must choose the best engine with both reasonable power and good economy. In the UK and Ireland, the favourite engine for the Citroen C5 is the 2.0 diesel. The diesel gives you enough mid range pulling power and the taxes won't kill you .
