In terms of stats alone, Victory 2 Assault Buster is the srongest Gundam in the UC era, but the pilot doesn't really bring out the suit's full potential. It'd debateable, but Amuro (in the nu gundam) could probably beat Uso

ONe thing that always bugged be a bit about with this show is the mobile suits don't seem powerful enough for their time. For 50-60 years in the future the Nu gundam and Sazabi still seem more powerful

Still has the weakest Gundams Ever. Z Gundam Which is a 2nd generation gundam is far more powerful than V & V2. :(

I just hate it when Tomino tries to add realism :/ it's nice and all but really. Depending on where the cut would have been her life could have been spared. For that matter, if no one were piloting the enemy MS at the time he could have carried the entire thing off the battle ship altogether; of course at the risk of being shot down but still. It's like the screen writers wrote themselves into a corner or something.

I know this was a kids' show (not PBS-like or anything like that), but can you really understand a guy's mom's body being obliterated by a wheel with her head flying off? The deaths are one thing, and that's tolerable, but there are some things in V Gundam that are a bit much.

Yes, the original Mobil Suit Gundam was a deep deep show with massive political ties and etc. The death of major and minor characters, and the huge emotional struggle that came from the main character Amuro. Their attempt at a less deep story line, Gundam Wing was still far from a kids show. Maybe the one you say was the heavily censored version aired on cartoon network.

I don't know man, Gundam was never really a childrens show. It just aired on toonami. But not this one. I'm not trying to argue with you or anything, but when I lived in Nihon, it was mostly followed by older teens and adults. Maybe your right.

This series was brutal,...that is why I loved it. it had that realistic war feel to it. not the happy go lucky everyone survives, endings. Just like the Old Zeta Gundam,..where everyone dies, and the main character goes insane! Man I love the old UC universe. ^_^

Okay, I love this series for the fact that it pulls no punches; I understand you there. But Victory takes so many turns round the bend that its insanity can shift instantly from mindless fun to abject dementia. It's a love/hate relationship for me.
