Some people really have problem moving on. I love SP but he's so yesterday and I'm loving what Journey does with AP in the front line. He may not sound like SP (who does?) but I like AP's style. What matters most is that they're back rockin' with crowds blown away and an album selling multi platinum.

well Steve Perry was great but the band tried and tried to get him back he wouldnt even talk directly to them. So the band has stayed together without him and now they don't need him anymore Arnel Pineda is awesome and my favorite band is picking up where they left off. Steve Perry blew it his solo career sucked and they could have been making great music for the last 18 years but he walked away

It does make you wonder what Journey would've become had Steve Perry stayed.

But ... consider the ego's ... eventually SP would demand more creative freedom. Any band that survives long enough turns into a corporation - ie. there's a distinct pecking order and hierarachy in the decision making.

3 unique styles to try to mesh b/t Neil, John Cain, & Perry. I'm sure they went thru some challenging times behind the scenes.

Arnel is awesome tho!! At age 40, he can sings this stufff ... unreal.

he can still nail those hard songs even at this footage he has a flu, you know its the most scary thing for singer to get an respiratory inffections..hes been touring for more than 50 live concert and hes not used into that thats why this guy is really a super extra ordinary..well since now there concert is over, right now hes in the philippines w/ his family taking a resr then come back again maybe by november , touring in a japan, philippines and australia..he still sick w/ flu. take care AP!
