this documentation is too "one sided": if one looks and listens carefully, there is almost nothing in this documentary which has a reminding and admonishing character. i would have expected more from BBC to go to the very core of this subject but they failed miserable.

Japan recruited soldiers from all walks of life. Many were farmers and peasants who worked in the sun, and had very dark skin. If you ever go to Japan, and travel outside the big cities, you'll see many dark skinned natives.

this documentation is too "one sided": if one looks and listens carefully, there is almost nothing in this documentary which has a reminding and admonishing character. i would have expected more from BBC to go to the very core of this subject but they failed miserable.

I don't think you want to see the extra parts. Its very sad. I don't understand why they had to kill innocent women and kids, to stop a bloody war.
I watched the video today in english and when it came to the stories of the people who lost family and children, it was extremely sad. No person should have to go through this.

I guess the next time if China, Iran and North Korea hold secret meetings plotting to invade the United States and they plan on using nuclear missiles that would also be better right? They knew what they were doing but I am still against the use of nuclear bombs which not only takes ten thousands of lives but also damage the earth for a long time. American policy is against nuclear bombs now so you can't even argue against me when the users have recognized nuclear bombs to be wrong.

Sadly, they were living in a place of Military Importance to Japan - As was told I believe in Part 2 of the documentary a couple of times the reason and choice of why Hiroshima was the prime target.

Japan recruited soldiers from all walks of life. Many were farmers and peasants who worked in the sun, and had very dark skin. If you ever go to Japan, and travel outside the big cities, you'll see many dark skinned natives.
