Could this be done in a rib stitch where you yarn over then insert your hook either behind or in front of the "post" of each dc? I'm picturing a fabric that ends up being chevrons but looking like cable knitting, with a sort of relief pattern in it. Make sense?
BW: I have tried ripple many times, get frustrated and put it away for months. I'm only on my 3rd row, but it is much further than I've ever gotten before, THANKS to your video!!!
Your videos are great. They are easy to understand and I can work right along with you comfortably. I am so glad that I found your link. Keep helping us newbies :)
Working in the "ridge" of the chain is a great look, especially, since the last row has the same look. Thank you for your video. I was NOT understanding the ends of the rows. I wish you would make a vidio on Reverse Wave - work it as a 'W' instead of the 'M'. I am using the patern on the web feet of the penguin I designed with crochetting she just needs her feet!!! in "W"!!!
Thank you very much, I am making this for my Mum's Christmas pressie :) You explain very clearly especially the start of a row which is the part that usually confuses me!
this is great you are so helpful thank you so much and Iam gonna make a blanket from Ripple Stitch ....I am from saudi arabia and I always waching you thank you agin :)
How do i start off if i want to make a blanket with this style. I love you vids. I'm a beginer and i'm very excited to move on to new styles/patterns. but ive noticed that you have to have a sertain amount of chains when you 1st start. the bottom of the blanket i would like to make would be about 73in long. please let me know when you can. thank you so much for your vids. ~Nikita
@ebgdae24frett I never knew they were referred to as club thumbs. I used to refer to Brent's (the author of these videos) thumbs as nubs. He used to work at a sandwich shop and accidentally sliced the tip of one of his thumbs of.....twice lol I told him he couldn't afford to lose anymore of his thumbs, so he needs to be more careful lol
The decrease makes it so that the piece stays the same width...if you didn't do the decrease, the piece would get larger by one stitch with every row.

How do you determine the number of stitches for the length of you're project?
NASCARQueen9 3 months ago
@NASCARQueen9 If you're working from a pattern it should tell you what gauge you need

ok I have a question, why do you do a 2 chain double stitch decrease at the end of each row? thanks

The decrease makes it so that the piece stays the same width...if you didn't do the decrease, the piece would get larger by one stitch with every row.
