I'm pretty new at all of this. Can any one give me some tips as far as what king of rod to buy and such. I live in California in the san juaquin valley to give you an idea of what areas are available to me. Any help is much appretiated.
@paimei0708 Basically, It depends on what you are looking to fish for. Personally, I suggest getting two rods to start out with. Have one about six and a half feet long, with a Medium Heavy action. This will let you fish for bass, pike.. Anything in freshwater really if you do it right. Also, For panfish, an ultralight rod is lots of fun, even for catching larger fish as well. Being a Beginner, I would Suggest getting an "Ugly Stick" rod, with an underslung spinning reel.
@Alishan209 That First one I believe is a "Lucky Craft". You can generally tell by the finish, the squared pronounced nose they have compared to the completely rounded fronts of other brands, and the lures they sell do come with the oval split ring tie on points... Hope that helps.
absolutely they can get snagged, in all my years of fishing, i've probably lost $50 worth of crankbaits in hidden weeds, submerged rock or whatever. nothing worse than losing an expensive lure that you know fish love to hit
@BUSTERZESUS1 you may have a crack in your lure and it is filling with water. Or you are using to heavy of line IDK I've never had the problem.

I have seen many times your videos and I have used with great results the Crankbait to capture flounders in saltwater in Peru, I liked them.
On the other hand, I want to humbly share with you and your friends some videos that I posted in Youtube. You can find them as "Pulpito Jig Series"

are swivels neccessary for rigging lcrank baits?
NelsonPesadelo 1 year ago
@NelsonPesadelo No. Use a swivel if you plan on changing the lure you're using a lot.
